Jeerson Smoothie King chose Metairie to launch global expansion Orleans GE Capital created an IT Center of Excellence in Downtown New Orleans Plaquemines Epic Diving opened an oil eld support facility employing 500 people St. Bernard $1.4B invested in cri<cal infrastructure ($350M in 2011) St. Charles Dow restarted its St. Charles Olens 2 Plant, part of $4B commitment St. James South Louisiana Methanol announced a $1.3B facility St. John $150M in development announced, including $132M in industrial projects St. Tammany Associated Wholesale Grocers announced distribu<on center (300 jobs) Tangipahoa Bradken expanded to Amite, adds even more employees, to 400 Washington Acme Machine and Welding expanded to Franklinton Industrial Park
