INTRODUCTION
Detailed description, users manual and necessary program equipment are placed on the CD that makes part of the basic set. Here you will find basic information about the Multi-Di@g diagnostic system you have to know when unwrapping individual parts and the setting procedure basic parameters for the communication of Multi-Di@g with the computer.
2.
HOST COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS Windows 2000/XP/Vista VGA 800x640/16bits CD ROM drive Processor: Intel Pentium 400 MHz compatible and faster RAM 32 MB Free RS 232 or USB port
3.
The attached CD contains all the necessary software for the use of Multi-Di@g system including the accompanying files such as users manuals, prospectuses and the most used service procedures. Insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive. If the CD does not run automatically, run the autorun.exe program which you will find on the CD.

MULTI-DI@G, M-D PORTAL, M-D DOC AND M-D SCOPE PROGRAMS INSTALLATION
Multi-Di@g and Multi-Di@g Portal installations are connected to each other, Multi-Di@g Portal installation is started automatically once Multi-Di@g is installed. First install Multi-Di@g diagnostic software itself (see the following Chap. 4.1) and then the common entry point for the whole program family called Multi-Di@g Portal (see Chap. 4.2) is installed automatically. Installation of Multi-Di@g Doc is also recommended (see Chap. 4.3), the application serves for proper handling of available user manuals within the portal environment. When the program is started up and the initialization window is displayed (see Fig. 55), the system automatically verifies which program versions are in the computer and in the Multi-Di@g Scope and Motortester modules. If there is a newer version in the computer (after the UpDate installation from the CD), the internal software (the so-called firmware) will be overwritten either directly in Multi-Di@g Scope or in the Motortester module. The indications are described in the following chapters 4.4.2.1 and 4.4.2.2. When the overwriting is finished, the Multi-Di@g Scope program is automatically started up. Note:
The overwriting takes a few tens of seconds or some minutes. In the case of problems with overwriting (the so-called stalling), we recommend switching off the power supply. After the reconnection and the program start-up everything will be reinitialized. 19
