This class cannot teach you how to meet the requirements of either style. However you are expected to use the APA style manual, or an appropriate guide, to review and format all the work that gets submitted for grading period the guide listed above is probably the most efficacious way for you to meet those requirements for all your undergraduate classes. 2. Major universities are banning the use of Wikipedia by their students as a source in their papers because of reliability problems. Wikipedia acknowledges the problems and agrees students should not use it as a source for academic papers, primarily because Wikipedia cannot control changes to its content. Wikipedia is an excellent secondary source, one that I use regularly, but you must go back to the recognized primary sources if you wish to use information shown in Wikipedia. ALL SUBMITTED WORK MUST MEET APA STYLE GUIDELINES. Our on-line library is a great place to start if you want to make sure your submissions meet any style manual requirement.

There should be nothing posted in your student folder for this class! Discussion Boards: Participation is mandatory and you are expected to provide a minimum 375-word submission in each session and a minimum of a substantive 125-word reply to one other students contribution. And any posting that is less than one half of the minimum requirements is not responsive and will not be graded. While the first week introductions are not graded they are required and should run at least one half page in length. Please make sure to review the applicable folders in the Welcome and Presentation Folder located in the course materials area of the classroom. Your professional introductions should tell us about your previous work experience, your current work experience, your professional interests an achievements and your goals in taking this course/your program of study. Quizzes: They are all on-line open-book and have very lenient time limits, they may contain true false, multiple choice, matching, fill in the blank and essay type questions, essay questions require roughly a 180-word response each. Quizzes are not cumulative; that means material covered on one will NOT be re-tested. While the system allows you to exceed the time limit you may lose points if you more time than five times the allowed time. Please do not access a quiz or exam unless you are ready to take it, once a timed quiz or exam is opened the clock starts for the time limit. Suggestions to help you. A hard copy of the ERG will be helpful for the first quiz. The material in the course folders and the professor notes are parts of the course material and testable you may wish to make copies of them as well. For the true false and multiple choice questions manage your time carefully or you will run out of time. Remember two things: your first instinct is usually right and, do not spend too much time on any one question the first time

Online universities promote the advance of knowledge through positive and constructive debate--both inside and outside the classroom. Discussions on the Internet, however, can occasionally degenerate into needless insults and flaming. Such activity and the loss of good manners are not acceptable in a university setting--basic academic rules of good behavior and proper Netiquette must persist. Remember that you are in a place for the fun and excitement of learning that does not include descent to personal attacks, or student attempts to stifle the discussion of others. Technology Limitations: While you should feel free to explore the fullrange of creative composition in your formal papers, keep e-mail layouts simple. The Educator classroom may not fully support MIME or HTML encoded messages, which means that bold face, italics, underlining, and a variety of color-coding or other visual effects will not translate in your email messages. Humor Note: Despite the best of intentions, jokes and--especially--satire can easily get lost or taken seriously. If you feel the need for humor, you may wish to add emoticons to help alert your readers: ;-), : ),
