SB uses 32nm manufacturing process whereas IB is it's successor and is a 22nm die shrink with improved integrated graphics. Also, in Intel's Tick-Tock methodology, SB is the Tock for the last generation and IB is the new Tick for this generation. IB has about ~10% improvement over SB in terms of CPU performance and ~40% improvement in graphics. Clock for clock the new IB is better.
