SPECIFICATIONS OF SINGLE WALL PLASTOCRETE

PREFAB TOILET BLOCK

Description :
SINTEX prefabricated toilet shall be suitable for mounting on ready made concrete
floor / pillars. The components shall be fabricated at factory for easy to assembly at site. The
structure shall be suitable for wind conditions of 40 m/s and seismic zone V & ambient
temperatures 00 C to 500 C. The structure shall be manufactured by using Plastocrete panels
for wall and CGI sheets for roof, trusses, purlins and columns made of suitable M.S.Rolled /
hollow steel sections, as per the detailed specifications given herein.

External Wall Panels :

The external wall shall be made with special extruded PVC section filled with special
mortar of cement & sand. The size of PVC section shall be 304.8 mm wide & 25mm thick
with suitable length for fixing in groove of column. The wall panel shall be joint together by
tongue & groove method. The section has eleven Nos. of length wise ribs for batter strength
and to hold mortar in position. The PVC material shall be as per IS:10151:1982.
Internal partition :
The partition wall shall be made with special extruded PVC section on both side of
hollow steel tube. The section shall be 250mm wide and 6mm thick. The section shall be
joined together by tongue and groove method.

Roof Structural Frame Work :

(a) The roof shall be laid over a framework of trusses; purlins and columns fixed using
suitable fasteners like J-hooks with bitumen washers, nuts, bolts etc.

(b) The trusses shall be made using rolled section of minimum size angle 30 x 30 x 3 mm.
The trusses are provided at a distance of 3.0m and shall be supported on truss columns
made using suitable size M.S. Rolled / rectangular hollow steel sections fixed with each
using 5mm thick MS end plates & 10mm nut/bolts at top level.

(c) The purlins shall be made using rolled steel sections or ‘Z’ section provided on the
trusses at a max. pitch of 1.5mt. or less and are fixed and flushed with the top level of
trusses with the help of 5mm thick MS end plates & 10mm nut/bolts.
Roof Projection :

The roof shall have minimum projection of 0.3m from the eaves wall and 0.15m from the
gable walls.
Roof Cladding :
Roof cladding shall be done with galvanized corrugated sheets 0.5mm thickness and having
min 120 gsm galvanizing. These corrugated GI sheets is laid over a frame work of trusses,
columns and purlins fixed using suitable fasteners like J-hooks with bitumen washer etc.

A GI Ridge cover of size 300x300mm made from GI steel Sheet/coil, having min 120 gsm
galvanizing, is to be fixed on top junction of the roof using suitable fasteners.

False Ceiling :
The false ceiling shall be made out with extruded PVC section. The section shall be
250mm wide and 6mm thick. The section shall be joined together by tongue and groove
method. The suspended grid work shall be made out of MS hollow rectangular tube or other
suitable rolled sections. At corner of wall to ceiling are covered with PVC angle fixed with
suitable size screw etc. The PVC material shall be as per IS:10151:1982.

Main Doors:
Frame shall be made from pressed steel 4 sided frame using CR steel of 1.5mm (Thick).
Overall size of section shall be 1002mm x 2154mm. The section is welded at corner with
welding machine. The door frame will be fixed to column with suitable fasteners.

Single leaf shutter shall be made out with G.I. Pre coated sheets both side of PUF. The
thickness of shutter shall be minimum 22mm. The door shutter shall be fixed with the door
frame with 100mm long hinges. The door shutter shall be provided with 1 No. MS aldrops at
out side & in side, MS tower bolts of size 150mm at the center inside and 100mm long
handles shall be provided on both the sides.

Internal door shall be madeout with Sintex make extruded PVC section with all
necessary hardware.

Ventilator :
Sufficient ventilator shall be provided in wall panel as per shown in the drawing.

Painting Work :
Structure : One coat of red oxide as primer on all structure and two coats of good quality oil
paint shall be provided only on expose structure after erection.

Wall Panel : One coat of good quality oil paint shall be provided on wall panel from out side
only.

Foundation & Flooring :

Foundation & Plinth work to be done with civil construction material which is locally
available. Or with Sintex make precast block. The main load bearing column foundation shall
be maximum 900 mm deep. The finish floor shall be of 300 x 300 mm Ceramic Tiles laid over
75mm thick PCC in plinth area. The plinth height will be maximum 300 mm from ground
level.

Sanitation work :
Require Drainage line and water supply line shall be carry out with suitable diameter
PVC Pipe. The pipe line work up to toilet shall be in our scope, main line connection are not
in our scope. Indian type WC Pan , Urinal and medium size wash basin shall be provided of
ceramic.

Electrification :
Minimum points for electrical work shall be provided in toilet block.
