the earth's population is increasing but its resources are limite.

can we provide food, water, energy for everyone,and leave future generations more than a planet-sized dump pit?

POPULATION At present there are six billion people on earth. over the next forty years the population is going to grow to almost nine billion. also, birth rates are increasing at a faster pace in pour countries than in developed countries. however, these countries do not have enough resources to feed their people,keep them healthy,and shelter them properly as it is. will wealthier countries be able to support poorer countries in the future?

FOOD it is worrying to think that there are going to be so many more people to feed when there are already so many starving millions. unfortunately, a lot of the earths soil is already contaminated as we have used so many pesticides and fertilizers to grow crops. also, there are very few fish left in our seas and oceans, and due to deforestation, our forest will be bare. what will this leave us with?

WASTE for some reason,when we think of trash, we ussually think of ordinary household waste. however, with advansing technology, our trash cans are also filing up with old appliances,pc monitors, and tvs . E-waste is the latest in toxic waste and it is increasing. what will we do about it?

ENERGY these days, we are using more energy that ever before, and the situation is only going to get worse. at the moment, fossil fuels provide 80% of our energy needs, but oil is running out fast and soon gas will start to run out, too. coal will last the longest, but it isnt ecofriendly. in fact , burning coal is the leading cause of smog, acid rain,and global warming. what alternative energy will we use?

La poblacin de la tierra est aumentando, pero sus recursos son limitados . podemos suministrar alimentos, agua, energa para todos, y dejar a las generaciones futuras ms que un pozo vertedero tamao de un planeta? POBLACIN en la actualidad hay seis mil millones de personas en la tierra.durante los prximos cuarenta aos la poblacin va a crecer a casi nueve millones. Asi mismo, las tasas de natalidad estn aumentando a un ritmo rpido en los pases de fluidez que en los pases desarrollados. Sin embargo, estos pases no tienen los recursos suficientes para alimentar a su pueblo, a mantenerlos sanos y refugio de manera adecuada tal como es. Que los pases ms ricos ser capaz de soportar los pases ms pobres en el futuro? ALIMENTO es preocupante pensar que no va a haber mucha gente ms que alimentar cuando ya hay millones de hambrientos tantos. por desgracia, una gran parte del suelo tierras ya est contaminado como hemos utilizado pesticidas y fertilizantes tantos para los cultivos. Adems, hay muy pocos peces que queda en nuestros mares y ocanos, y debido a la deforestacin, nuestros bosques se desnuda. lo que esto nos deja? RESIDUOS por alguna razn, cuando pensamos en la basura, que habitualmente se piensa en la basura domstica normal. sin embargo, con advansing tecnologa, nuestros botes de basura tambin se presenta con aparatos viejos, monitores de PC y televisores. E-waste es el ltimo de los residuos txicos y est aumentando. qu vamos a hacer al respecto? ENERGIA en estos das, estamos utilizando ms energa que nunca, y la situacin slo va a empeorar. por el momento, los combustibles fsiles proporcionan el 80% de nuestras necesidades energticas, pero el petrleo se est agotando rpidamente y pronto gas comenzar a correr tambin. carbn durarn ms tiempo, pero no es respetuoso del medio ambiente. de hecho, la quema de carbn es la causa principal de smog, lluvia cida, y el calentamiento global.qu es la energa alternativa vamos a utilizar?
