OCIMFs Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) publication and programme. First introduced in 2004 as a tool for ship operators to measure and improve their safety management Encourages assessment of management systems against listed KPIs Best practices provide guidance to achieve KPIs Results used to develop phased continuous improvement plan for safety and environmental performance Encourages higher standards of ship management Method for distribution of data where ship operator retains control

TMSA 2 Whats New?


Operators experience and industry feedback is incorporated. Expanded to encompass all tank vessel operators, including those managing coastal vessels and barges. The scope of application is increased. Clarity and definitions are improved.
