TAIZE PRAYER: PORTA FIDEI

GOSPEL A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark

4:35-41

As evening drew on, Jesus said to His disciples, Let us cross to the other side. Leaving the crowd, they took Him with them in the boat just as He was. And other boats were with Him. A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was filling up. Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. They woke Him and said to Him, Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Quiet! Be still! The wind ceased and there was a great calm. Then He asked them, Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith? They were filled with great awe and said to one another, Who is this whom even wind and sea obey? The Gospel of the Lord. REFLECTION
A reflection may now be given.

CREED
Leader: We now profess our faith. The Apostles Creed is then said.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

(Mostly taken from the Solemn Intercessions in the Celebration of the Passion of the Lord on Good Friday and from the Universal Prayer of the Mass for the Opening of the Year of Faith) The choir sings the following response.

R. Panginoon, maawa ka sa amin. 1. For the holy Church of God, that our God and Lord be pleased to give her peace, to guard her and to unite her throughout the whole world and grant that, leading our life in tranquility and quiet, we may glorify God the Father almighty. We pray to the Lord. R. 2. For our most Holy Father Pope Francis, that our God and Lord, who chose him for the Order of Bishops, may keep him safe and unharmed for the Lords holy Church, to govern the holy People of God. We pray to the Lord. R. 3. For Paciano and Pablo, our Bishops, for all Bishops, Priests, and Deacons of the Church and for the whole of the faithful people, that by the gift of Gods grace, all may serve him faithfully and without reserve. We pray to the Lord. R.

4. For the New Evangelization, that all those who contribute to it might sustain believers in all lifes circumstances in their commitment to living according to the Word of God. We pray to the Lord. R. 5. For all our brothers and sisters who believe in Christ, that our God and Lord may be pleased, as they live the truth, to gather them together and keep them in his one Church. We pray to the Lord. R. 6. For those who do not believe in Christ, that, enlightened by the Holy Spirit, they, too, may enter on the way of salvation. We pray to the Lord. R. 7. For those who do not acknowledge God, that, following what is right in sincerity of heart, they may find the way to God himself. We pray to the Lord. R. 8. For those in public office, that our God and Lord may direct their minds and hearts according to his will for the true peace and freedom of all. We pray to the Lord. R. 9. For the youth, that our God and Lord may give them strength of mind and body that they may do their best to make the world a better place to live. We pray to the Lord. R. 10. For the youth, that our God and Lord may strengthen their faith so that, in turn, they may share the faith that they have received from their baptism. We pray to the Lord. R. 11. For those in need, that God the Father almighty may cleanse the world of all errors, banish disease, drive out hunger, unlock prisons, loosen chains, granting to travelers safety, to pilgrims return, health to the sick, salvation to the dying, and eternal rest to the souls of those who have died in this world. We pray to the Lord. R.
A moment of silence is then made in order to give one the opportunity to pray for his/her personal intentions.

Leader: At the Saviors command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
The Lords Prayer is then sung, after which the leader says the following prayer. (Taken from the Collect of the Mass for the Evangelization of Peoples.)

O God, whose will it is that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, look upon your abundant harvest and be pleased to send workers to gather it, that the Gospel may be preached to all creation and that your people, gathered by the word of life and sustained by the power of the Sacraments, may advance in the path of salvation and love. Through Christ our Lord. People: Amen.
