AN OBSERVATION GUIDE FOR THE CLASSROOM VISIT Read the following statements carefully. Then write your observation report of the provided space. 1. Describe the community or neighborhood where the school is found. 2. Describe the school campus. What colors do you see? What is the condition of the buildings? 3. Pass by the offices. What impression do you have of these offices? 4. Walk through the school halls, the library, the cafeteria. Look around and find out the other facilities that the school has.

BAYOG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (BNHS) Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur September 22, 2011
Although the school is a few meter away to the residential area but in terms of security and safety, the school has its perimeter fence and walls with security personnel. So no one can make escape or intrude to the school and only one way to go in and out of the school. On the front side of the school, separated by road is the NIA Office and compound and at the back is wide rice fields separated by mile long irrigation canal that stretches down to the part of Sibugay area. The totality of the community or neighborhood where the school is found is conducive for learning, good for the students as well as the teachers. No one can destruct or temptate to the students. The school campus was big and wide. The entire school is quite populated because there are many students occupying in one room. But the school is very secured and safe, under the new administration of the school in the person of Mr. Danilo P. Ungang, the school undergone into rapid changes. Like the whole rooms was painted in pink, and some other changes under his administration. Portions of the perimeter walls in front has been painted also with slogans and paintings with different themes, concepts and characters. And as a whole, the colors that are being painted was very Child Friendly. Thanks to the new administration and also to the teachers who shared their untiring dedications, talents, efforts and creative imagination. The condition of the buildings is very good. It is well ventilated, well maintained, in good conditions with water and electric supply with comfort rooms each. Thanks to the help of the Parents and Teachers Association of the school but due to the increasing number of students the rooms are crowded with students so it needs and additional classrooms. When I passed by in the main office of the school, the clerks are working hard for the entire operation of the school, doing paper works and transactions. Passing by in the faculty rooms of each department, Ive seen teachers checking those quiz and exam papers, they are also making lesson plans and instructional materials. And after busy working some teachers are chatting sharing there experiences after the class while others are preparing for the next class they have. The main office us fully air conditioned. Next to the main office is the computer laboratory with sufficient number of computers and most especially it is internet connected for the advance knowledge of the students of technology and information. In front of the main office was the outdoor playing court for the sports and fitness activity and other activities. And beside the playing court was the English Faculty/Center where the students are being trained for English related activities such as writing and etc. And down to the lower portion of the school also has a wide flat grass field for major sports events such as soccer, baseball and other activities.

AN OBSERVATION GUIDE FOR THE CLASSROOM VISIT Be guided by these tasks as you do your observation. Then accomplish the matrix to record your data. 1. Look at the walls of the classroom. What are posted on the walls? What heroes, religious figures, lessons, visual aids, announcements, do you see posted? 2. Examine how the furniture is arranged. Where is the teachers table located? How are the tables and chairs/desks arranged? 3. What learning materials/equipment are present? 4. Observe the students. How many are occupying one room? 5. Is the room well-lighted and well-ventilated? Looking at the walls, I have seen the image of our President posted on top front. There is also "Speak English and Magsalita ng Filipino. There was a lot of sayings that encourage the students to pursue studies. The classroom and PTCA officers. And the slogan This is a child friendly school. There are 38 students present in the room. The room was well-lighted and well-ventilated.

CLASSROOM FACILITIES MATRIX

Description (location, number, arrangement, condition) Major child rights, officers, sayings are posted at the wall. Picture of our president, Speak English, Magsalita ng Filipino, cartoon character are posted on the top front on the wall facing the learners. It is located in front of the class and only one that is neatly covered with plastic cover and posted with the seat plan. They used arm chair that is interconnected and 5 student seating capacity. Big enough for the students to see and doesnt have lines unlike to the elementary. Teacher only brings their own visual aids.

MY OBSERVATION REPORT
I am the product of Bayog National High School and when I observed I was so impressed of the big changes of the school. There is new facilities that was not present when I was in high school. The totality of the school was very improved and I say that it is conducive for learning.

My Analysis How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact on the learning of the students going to school? What are your conclusions? By making the school into a Child Friendly School I conclude that through this initiative it attracts to the students of going to the school, continue their studies and pursue their goals and dreams. Because for me, the school plays a big major part in molding their future, to our country and to the next generation. So in order to reach that point, the school must have to be conducive for learning, safe and secured environment, knowledgeable for both the teachers and the students to create a productive and globally competitive products of the school and somehow inspire and impact the minds of those students who want to become one of them; those are successful one that can we be proud of.

How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ How does this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning? In relation to my knowledge in child and adolescent development I have found that not all learners have the same rate of development. They really differ from each other, from low learners to fast learners. We should put into consideration that there are many factors that influencing the development of learning. And in facilitating learning we must have to know the learners well, their differences and diversity. So that we will be able to know what methods and strategies we are going to apply to the learners.

My Reflections 1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not? I am a product of the school that I have just observed but I dont want to be a part of the school that I observed. Not to the reason that I dont want to or I am avoiding something but I just be true to myself and be practical enough. As what I have observed the school has a sufficient number of expert teachers for the students and only needs additional classrooms. Because what I am up to hopefully is to teach to the other schools in our place that needs a teacher. And I want to impart to the students my whole knowledge, expertise and dedication the best that I can. But whatever fortune my career may take me, Ill just go with it with willingness. Because I am not the one whos holding the time and what will happen next.

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning? The kind of school that is conducive to learning should be safe and secured. School must have a complete facilities, materials and away from harm, should have a sense that is like near to the nature with enough plants, flowers and trees for the students to breath fresh air and that could add color to the school environment. School must also have a wide outdoor space for sports and other physical and fitness activity. And with competent, expert and knowledgeable teachers. And most especially the school must be a Child Friendly School.

3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning? First, it should have a knowledgeable teacher, patient, friendly, approachable and welldedicated teacher. The classroom must have a colorful, relaxing and attractive color of painting. Has its water and electric supply. The classroom must be well ventilated and overpopulated with students, with complete informational postings of the wall like sayings, pictures and so many others. And also must have a complete sufficient learning and instructional materials for the students.

4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3? As a future teacher, to accomplish my answers in number 3 question, I must have a proper knowledge in teaching the lessons to the students. I must have all the qualities of a good and effective teacher. And to come up to those answers that I mentioned, there should be help, cooperation and communication of parents, teacher, community, the local and national authorities with strong vision and dedication.

5. Write your additional learnings and insights here. Even how effective the teacher is in giving knowledge to the learners it will be nothing if the environment is not conducive for learning, theres a distractions and harm then there is no learning and it will be all worthless.

My Tools An Observation Guide for the Learners Characteristics

Read to following statements carefully. Then write your observation report on the provided space. Your teacher may also recommend another observation checklist if a more detailed observation is preferred. Physical 1. Observe their gross motor skills. How they carry themselves. How they move, walk, run, go up the stairs, etc. 2. Are gross movements clumsy or deliberate/smooth? 3. How about their fine motor skills? Writing, drawing, etc. - The high school, elementary and preschool really differ when it come to their physical ability. Preschoolers are very active and untiring; they play most of the time. But then they cannot control their movements, sometimes leads to minor accidents. And their fine motor skills, when they write or draw they push the pencil hardly, they cannot control it freely. And elementary is more on socialization, playing also is a visible characteristic. And high school, in terms of their movements, it is controlled. Social 1. Describe how they interact with teachers and other adults. 2. Note how they also interact with peers. What do they talk about? What are their concerns? - As I observed the social relation of each level: Preschoolers they are shy sometimes especially those that they do not know, their world turns around on their playmates mostly; theres a feelings of inferiority. Elementary concerned with their peers, family and teachers. High school theres a group, a circle of friends and concerned for what is happening on the surroundings. Emotional 1. Describe the emotional disposition or temperament of the learners. (happy, sad, easily cries, mood-shifts) 2. How do they express their wants/needs? Can they wait? 3. How do they handle frustrations? 4. Describe their level of confidence as shown in their behavior. Are they selfconscious? - Preschool moody, happy of always playing, sad when they cannot get what they want Elementary feelings towards peers and teachers High school feelings towards opposite sex Cognitive 1. Describe their ability to use words to communicate their ideas. Note their language proficiency. 2. Describe how they figure out things. Do they comprehend easily? Look for evidence of their thinking skills. 3. Were there opportunities for problem solving? Describe how did they show problem solving abilities. - Learners start from blank and up to with specific goals and dreams. Teachers must have to teach the learners well.

High school students easily bored. Lots of interests during class

Teacher should give a collaborative approach in teaching.

My Reflections 1. While you were observing the learners, did you recall your own experiences when you were their age? What similarities or differences do you have with the learners you observed? Upon observing, I really recall those days when I was at their age. Those happy moments of playing, those during classes time, those mistakes and accidents that turns into fun eventhough it hurts. When were punished by our terror teacher. I really miss those day and I really want to turn back the time. What I really dont forget are those time that we have to write and draw something. Because I always sharpen my pencil to have a pointed tip like a needle and as a result my pencil always run short and so with the eraser of my pencil and I got scolded also with my mother. When I reached in to the last three years of my elementary years. I have recalled that weve got late in entering the class because of too much fun in playing outside. In my highschool days, I have recalled a lots of memories. I remember when I was in first year on my long time friend that we impersonate like gay thing making funny jokes when we met. And in the second year of my high school was very unforgettable because all of us in the class was sent to the guidance counselor because weve watched porn movie. And now I realized, I want to go back to that time and correct those mistake; that was so embarrassing. I have also a close bestfriends and we named our group Fireworks name after the hit of F4. I really missed you guys. I hope we reunited together again.

2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How did she/he help or not help you with your needs (physical, emotional, social, cognitive)? How did it affect you? The teacher that really influenced me was my fourth year high school teacher. She really teach us well, she told us to do our responsibility, never waste time and money. She also influenced us to think positive always. Aside from being a good teacher in any aspects, she was also a disciplinarian too. And the most special thing that she imparted to me was to finish my studies and reach my goals and dreams because education is the most important tool in facing the real life and for my future. Shes like a second mother to me because her daughters are my bestfriends too. And she treats me as her son. I really idolize her because she really has the essence of a good teacher not only in teaching but touching lives too.

3. Which is your favorite theory of development. How can this guide you as a future teacher? I really like the theory of Vygotskys Theory of Socio-Cultural Perspective that uses the method of scaffolding. Because learners really need an appropriate assistance of the teacher and with the family for the learner to learn new things. So the teacher should teach the learner well so that the learner cam easily understand the lesson and assist the learner as well. And most especially there should be a good communication so that there is no gap between the teacher and the learners.

4. Share your insights here. Being a teacher is not an easy task. As a future teacher we must be knowledgeable for every lesson. We also have to go with the level of the learner and learn to adapt and blend. We should give our best and dedication because the learners depend on us as a teacher. And as a teacher we must impart all our knowledge and expertise emotionally, socially, morally, physically and spiritually because we serve as a bridge or tool for the future of the learners.

My Target At the end of this activity, you will gain competence in managing time, space and resources to provide an environment which is appropriate to the learners and conducive to learning.

My map

An Observation Guide for the Learners Characteristics Read the following statements carefully. Then write your observation report on the provided space. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. As you observe the class, look into the characteristics of the learners. Note their ages. How many boys are there? How many girls? Focus on their behavior. Are they already able to manage their own behavior? Can the learners already work independently? Describe their span of attention. Look into their listening skills and ability to concentrate.

DIPILI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Dipili, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur Grade V September 27, 2011
As I enter into the classroom together with my co-observer/classmates the learners are showing their politeness to us, they greet us upon entering into the classroom. And while they greet us, I observed that there are few learners who are not looking to us while greeting and most are with gestures. Although the class is in the morning I notice that few learners looks weak and aside those energetic and active one. There are also late comers too. Then, I realized and consider some factors. Like the location of the barangay where the school is located. The work or living of each family which is 90% rely on the farmlands and ricefields. But not all, some are unfortunate to own those lands because they are only serves as a caretaker that earns very minimal amount. That is why there are some who looks weak and there are also very energetic, some are talkative, others are shy and behave. Because those who can afford has sufficient nourishment but to those who cannot afford are less fortunate lacks of nourishment. All of these factors really affects the learner, the way they interact to the class, they participate, mingle the way they move and so other things. These can affect the learners mind and body. Due to new type method of teaching was activity-based. During the class proper the learners behavior and understanding is very good. They can manage their behavior but needs some assistance of the teacher. The teacher grouped them into three, and in terms of participation and attention they are very careful of losing points. So their listening and the ability to concentrate really works on the collaborative teaching and the acquisition of knowledge to the learners was very easy and beneficial to them.

An Observation Guide for CLASSROOM VISIT

1. Are there areas in the classroom for specific purposes (storage of teaching aids, books, students belongings, supplies, etc.) 2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room. 3. Did the students participate in making the classroom rules? 4. What are the daily routines done by the teacher? (prayer, attendance, assignment of monitors, warm-up activities, etc.) How are they done? 5. Is there a seating plan arrangement? What is the basis of this arrangement? 6. Observe the noise level in the classroom. How is this managed? 7. If a learner is not following instructions or is off-task, what does the teacher do? (behavior strategies) What does the teacher do to reinforce positive behaviors? (behavior strategies)

My observation notes The classroom has a storage of teaching aids, books, students output, belongings and supplies. And it is very well organized with cover protection from dust and dirt. They have also mini library. All the rules and procedures within the classroom was posted on the wall for the students to be aware always. And they are the one who formulate their rules, a good idea of a teacher because the learners themselves are making a rule that is for their pleasure for fairness also. And through that there is a good relationship of all. Before the class starts, the cleaners must done cleaning. Then in the class proper, it all starts with a prayer to seek guidance to our God. And then an action song was followed, after then the attendance of the students if recorded. The noise was very well managed because they also reflect to kind of teacher they have who is very soft spoken, kind, approachable and motherly type of teacher, a loving one, caring and God fearing. The teacher reiterates the instruction and rephrases it so that the learners can easily understand. And if it doesnt work, the teacher defines it or teach in lay-mans terms so that the learners can understand whether it is off-task or not following instructions. The teacher sets some examples and moral lessons, praise and giving rewards to the students if the learners perform well.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT MATRIX

Aspect of Classroom Management Description Effect on the Learners The students are more comfortable using all the facilities inside the classroom. They can study, read and research well. Their personal hygiene was maintained to promote good health.

1. Specific Areas in the Classroom

Comfort room, Personality corner, Math corner, English corner, Filipino corner, Science corner, Organizational box/cabinet, Mini Library

2. Classroom Rules

Speak English, Magsalita ng Filipino, Wearing uniforms, Coming in the school on time, Do not talk if the teacher is discussing.

Classroom rules are being implemented to promote orderliness for the classroom management. Therefore the learners will have a discipline and trained to be responsible.

3. Classroom Procedures

Sharing period, small and big group activity

If is well planned and the procedures will followed there will be an organized and time bounded.

4. Daily routines

Cleaning the room and the surroundings and practice proper waste disposal, attendance

Impact the learners on the cleanliness aspect, learners will manage time wisely and come to school early Learners are already organized Discipline Encourage the learners to practice values, and the learner will be inspired and motivated

5. Seating Arrangement 6. Handling misbehavior/offtask behavior 7. Reinforcement of positive behavior

Already grouped together with their seat Being warned and not embarrass nor frustrate the learner Role model, examples and moral lessons, praising and giving reward.

My Analysis

1. How did the classroom organization and routines affect the learners behavior? Classroom organization and daily routines was very important to the learners. Because through these there is what we called discipline in which it is very crucial that teacher must have to inculcate this into the learners for their way of developing. In this way the learners will be able to manage her/hi time, behavior and has a feelings to those that surrounds to the learners, the school, environment, country and to our God. And those will affect the learners and will be carried on when the reach maturity. 2. What should the teacher have in mind when she/he designs the classroom organization and routines? What theories and principles should you have in mind? The teacher should have a strong vision, dedication, imaginative and creative mind. So that the classroom will be a haven of learning and knowledge, attractive, organized and colorful. And the learners will feel that it is their second home, that is safe and secured. And to the part of the teacher, making those designs will create an image to the classroom and the school but also it will reflect to the personality of the teacher. And as a future teacher someday I will do the same also as I mentioned above. 3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the behavior of the learners? In motivating students? Why were they effective? For me to achieve managing the behavior of the learners, the teacher must play as a role model to the learners, showing good traits, sharing a moral values and discipline, for example when the learner shows a good thing. So the teacher praises the learner and by this the learner will be inspired and do the same thing again. So through this strategy of a teacher the learner will believe to the teacher. And in motivating you will be able to inspire the learners. It is effective in modeling because in the theory and reality learners really believed in modeling. They believe on what they sees and reflect their situation in the same way.

My Reflections

1. Rules a. b. c. d. e. f. Come to school on time Be honest, respectful and polite Behave/ keep silence Wearing of school uniform Maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the classroom. Avoid cutting classes and absenting

We should implement these rules so that so that it would be easier for us to handle them, because it is not easy to handle many different behaviors in a class. 2. If I will be given a chance to teach, I would choose first year because Id like to build a strong foundation of education in my students. It would also be a challenge for me to test my ability in teaching. 3. For me yes! My students should suggest some rules to be implemented, in that way their rights will be respected. But of course the teacher has still the power to choose what rules are needs to be implemented. And let us just also remember that in every rule there is an exception.

My Target

At the end of this activity, you will gain competence in determining teaching approaches and techniques considering the individual differences of the learners.

My Map

The learners individual differences and the type of interaction they bring surely affect the quality of teaching and learning. This episode is about observing and gathering data to find out how student diversity affects the learning.

An Observation Guide for the Learners Characteristics Read the following carefully before you begin to observe. Then write your observation report on the space provided on the next page. 1. Find out the number of students. Gather data as to their ages, gender, racial groups, religious and ethnic backgrounds. During class: 1. How much interaction is there in the classroom? Describe how the students interact with one another and with the teacher. Are there groups that interact more with the teacher than others. 2. Observe the learners seated at the back and the front part of the room. Do they behave and interact differently? 3. Describe the relationship among the learners. Do the learners cooperate with or compete against each other? 4. Which students participate actively? Which students ask most help? 5. When a student is called and cannot answer the teachers question, do the classmates try to help him? Or do they raise their hands so that the teacher will call them instead? Outside class: 1. How do the students group themselves outside class? Homogenously, age? By gender? By racial or ethnic groups? Or are the students in mixed social groupings? If so, describe the groupings. 2. Describe how the learners interact with each other? What do they talk about?

OBSERVATION REPORT

1 3 1 1 = 13

During class: 1. The interaction between the students and the teacher was smooth. Interaction happens when the teacher ask something and they are raising their hands because they want to give their answers, that what we called the Stimulus and the Response or the SI Theory. And when the teacher gives activity they have interacted with their classmates. 2. Yes, they behave differently; the students that seated in front are more attentive than those that are seated at the back. But when the teacher reminds the rules they also behave in the same way. 3. I have observed that the students who really have listened has a higher thinking skills and attentive, and acts as a leader who also competes with the other leaders but talking about the leaders and members, they have cooperated well. 4. The students participated actively are those assigned as leaders. The students that really needs help is the special child. 5. When a student is called and cannot answer they have raised their hands so that the teacher will call.

Outside class: 1. I have observed that the students grouped themselves outside the class by gender, the boys played marble, text cards etc. while girls played Chinese garter and hide and seek. 2. The learners learn about motor skills because of playing that involves the movements of the entire body. The students also need to play for them to enjoy their moments as a child.

My Analysis

1. Identify the persons who play key roles in the relationships and interactions in the classrooms. What roles do they play? Is there somebody who appears to be the leader, a mascot/joker, an attention seeker, a little teacher, a doubter/pessimist? In the classroom it is very important to have a stimulus and response relationship. The teacher serves as the speaker and the students are the listener. If communication or learning really takes place theres always be a response from the students. In my observation there is an attention seeker, he is always wants to go outside. There is also a special child. 2. Are students coming from the minority group accepted or rejected by the others? How is this shown? In my observation, students are comfortably with each other. Because they have played together and no one feels rejected even the special child. Maybe because they are oriented in the diversity of learners and everyone has the right to be educated, regardless of racial background, social status of living and gender.

3. How does the teacher influence the class interaction considering the individual differences of the students? The teacher had managed the students well even if he handles many different personalities. He had captured their attention through motivation and he had set the standards inside the classroom. Through giving activities and using different methods in learning, influences the interest of the students. 4. What factors influence the grouping of learners outside the classroom? There are many different factors that would influence the grouping of learners outside the classroom, the social status, gender, racial background and religion.

My Reflections

1. How did you feel being in that classroom? Did you feel a sense of oneness or unit among the learners and between the teacher and the learners? I really feel the unity among the learners and the teacher because they had showed courtesy. The students also respect me even though I am just an observer and not their teacher. 2. In the future, how would you want the learners in your classroom to interact? How will you make this happen? Yes! I want to this to happen. I want that my students will respect everybody. I want them to be good not just in school so that they would become a good citizen. In my class I want them to learn all the virtues. 3. How will you encourage all learners, regardless of religious, ethnic or racial background, to interact and participate? I will teach them about the diversity of learners. They should learn that each one of us consist of different personalities. With that we should respect each others opinion and feelings for us to gain respect from them. The acceptance of individuals differences leads to unity, peace and harmony, and love that are also important to have success inside and outside the classroom.

An Observation Guide for Individual Differences Read the following carefully before you begin to observe. Then write your observation report on the space provided. 1. Observe the class to see the differences in abilities of the learners. 2. Try to identify the students who seem to be performing well and those that seem to be behind. 3. Validate your observations by asking the teacher about the background (family, socioeconomic, presence of some learning disability, etc.) of these children. 4. Observe the behavior of both the high achieving and low-achieving learners. Note their dispositions, pace in accomplishing tasks, interaction with teacher, interaction with others. 5. Observe the teachers method in addressing the individual learning needs to the students in his/her class.

OBSERVATION REPORT

BAYOG CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Poblacion, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur Grade I October 4, 2011
= Performs well = Behind - Ms. Labisto - Ms. Madjos

The learning of Labisto: her father was Perlito Labisto and her mother was Flordeliza Labisto. Both of her parents are working as teachers. She is the only daughter of Labisto family. The family of Madjos: her parents was Mr. & Mrs. Emmie Madjos. They have a business of dressmaking and her mother was a dressmaker and her father was a driver. Even though both of her parents has a work but it is not still enough to support the education and nourishment of her because they are 13 members of the family excluding her parents. The teacher had group or identify the slow and fast learners, she also gives activities that are fitted for the high achievers in order to cater the individual learning needs of her students.

My Analysis

1. Did your observation match the information given by the teacher? Were you able to correctly identify who among the students performed well and who did not? What behavior helped you identify them? (volunteering to answer, responding to teachers directions, etc.) Yes! my observation match the information given by the teacher. The behavior that helped me identify the fast learners was very attentive and competitive; they always raise their hands and want to give their answers. The slow learners were very restless they only talk to their seatmates during discussion, they did not give answers correctly when they were asked. 2. Describe the differences in ability levels of the students in the class. Is there a wide gap between the students who are performing well and those that are not? High achievers were attentive, can easily learn, understand and competitive. While the slow achievers were sleepy, busy talking with seatmates even though not in groupings, they cannot easily understand the lesson. There is really a gap between those that performs well and those that are not because fast learners are advanced while slow learners will left behind. 3. Describe the methods used by the teacher in handling the students differences in abilities. How did the students respond to the teacher? The methods that were used by the teacher in handling the students was collaborative, all of them given the chance to participate.

My Analysis

1. Did recall the time when you were in the elementary or high school. Recall the high and low achievers in you class. How did your teacher deal with differences in abilities? Was your teacher effective? I recalled when I was in high school that if I am not mistaken, 70% are low achievers honestly speaking and 30% are high achievers because some of them are not taken it seriously. They are just making fun of it and admit also that even me also belongs to low achievers. It is because what we are interesting more are only happy experiences. Those laag ug kiat lang sa ayha ang study sometimes. And those days were full of curiosity, want to try something good and something fun. Talagang di ko makakalimutan ang hayskul days ko. The teacher really did a good job in handling us and also she is effective.

2. With the principle of individual differences in mind, what methods and strategies will you remember in the future to ensure that you will be able to meet the needs of both the high and low achievers in your class? As a teacher someday, one method and strategy I will use in the future to meet the needs of both fast and slow learners in which at present it is being widely used as a medium of instruction because of its affectivity and even me also undergone on that particular. What I am talking to is to use Collaborative approach/activity-based that is more on group activity because in this way each member of the group must have to cooperate and participate to be shared to the group mates. So in this way they both gain knowledge easily and effectively.

Conclusions: Therefore, the best key to the child development and learning that links both family and school is thru constant communication and cooperation. And we as a teacher in the future, should give all the needs of the learners the best that we can. We should teach and care them like our child and teach them physically, morally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We should act as their parents whenever they are in the school. Recommendations: For the parents, support the child everytime, dont fail her and keep on communicating For the teacher, keep up the good work.

My Analysis

Child development depends on what home he/she has and how the parents rear them. And the teacher must teach the learner well. Environments also affects the development, the influence to those that surrounds the learner.

My Reflection 1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you experience? How did it affect you? Although my parents arent always besides me in school. But still they showed their love and care for me. I am still blessed that I have a parents like them. It encourages me to finish my studies and reach all my dreams to become successful someday. Life is possible because of them. 2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home school collaboration? How can you work well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you? To achieve all of that, I will just simply keep on communicating to the parents of the learners for their knowledge of what is happening in the school and what will happen next, and also keep on updating on their child. And to improve Teacher-Parent cooperation partnership. Towards better future of the child.
