Annual Sports Day at IPG Campus Tun Hussein Onn

IPG Campus Tun Hussein Onn had organized an annual Sports Day on 28th February 2012 until 1st March 2011. This sports day participated by all the lecturers and the teachers under training. The objective of this Sports Day is to promote the importance of sport among the members of this campus. IPG Campus Tun Hussein Onn s first big school event - Annual Sports Day was held at the pavilion on 28th February 2012 at 8.00a.m. All the teachers under training assembled on the field and did the warm-up exercise. for the cross country competition. After that, the director of institute, Madam Hajah Zaleha Binti Onn shot the gun as a sign of start running. When the trainings teachers hear this sound, everyone start running. In this cross country competition, all the women have to run 3.5 km and the men had to run 5.0 km. participants couldnt support their stamina, they fainted down. recover again after the helping by first aid members. competition, the team Bayan was the winner. On 29th February 2012, 8.30a.m., a knock out of high jump, flying disc and palm shells for the last round have been held. The most exciting moment in the high jump occurs when the jumper soared through the air and tries to clear the bar. In this cross country

At the same time, competition of running 800 metres and 100 metres running for first round and semi-round event also held. It is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. Runners began in the starting blocks and the race begins when an official fires the starters pistol. At 10.15a.m., events such as triple jump for final round, running 200 metres and 4x100 meter relay for first round had been held.

At 8.00a.m on 1st March 2012, the competition continued. High jump, flying disc, palm shells, long jump, triple jump, 200, 800 and 1500 metres for last round had been held. The athletes whom stayed at the field, such as correction of a rabbit-like fly a starting point, like a lever-like crossing the finish line, attracted the sight of the audience and made them excited. Opening of this annual sports day started at 2.00p.m.. At 2 oclock, all the staff included lecturers and teachers under training gathered at the pavilion. The arrival of the director of IPG Campus Tun Hussien Onn greeted with a roused from all attendants. Everyone sang the song of Negaraku and IPTHO with the company of band and piano. After that, the director of IPG Campus Tun Hussien Onn, Madame Hajah Zaleha Binti Onn gave an opening speech.

Marching competition for uniformed association and sport team had been held. The uniformed association that took part this marching competition

included Boy Scout, Red Crescent, Cadet Teenagers and so on. They walked with a regular step, steadily, rhythmically and in step with others like a line of marching soldiers. After that, the 6 members of Boy Scouts raised the

championship flag as the sign of opening of this Annual Sport Day.

After that, event of running 400 metres for women and man category for final had been held. At 4.00p.m., event of tugs of war for final participated by team Bayan and team Merak. Each team consists of ten participants and they all look like muscle man. competition. At the end, team Merak became the winner in this

Finally, a closing ceremony had been held at 5:30 p.m., dean was invited to close the ceremony. She was invited to give award for those winners. Some athletes showed some great performance and broke the past records of the school. Finally, all the winners were given medals and certificates by our director.

The Games, then the largest in history, generating a number of athletes who broke the record and Team Merak became the champion for this year. At 6.15 p.m., this ceremony was ended and all the attendants were dispersed.
