The Prelude
Everything Cries Holy
We see the Lord
And He is high upon the throne
And His glory fills the heavens and the earth
One like a lamb
Who was slain is on the throne
So I cast my crown before You
And bow down to pray
For everything cries holy
O everything cries holy
O everything cries holy
To You Lord
For everything cries holy
O everything cries holy
O everything cries holy
To You Lord
How Great Is Our God
The splendor of the King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice
(Chorus)
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God
And age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End
The Godhead, three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
(Bridge)
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

The Collect of the Day

Celebrant: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Celebrant: Let us pray.
Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help
ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our
souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen
to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the
soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please be seated.

The First Lesson: Exodus 20:1-17

Lector: The Word of the Lord.
People: Thanks be to God.

7
The Psalm
The psalm will be read as prompted by the Lector.

Psalm 19
7The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; *

the decrees of the LORD are sure, making wise the simple;
8the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; *

the commandment of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eyes;

9the fear of the LORD is pure, enduring for ever; *

the ordinances of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; *

sweeter also than honey, and drippings of the honeycomb.

11Moreover by them is your servant warned; *

in keeping them there is great reward.

12But who can detect their errors? *

Clear me from hidden faults.

13Keep back your servant also from the insolent;

do not let them have dominion over me. *

Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

be acceptable to you, *
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

The Second Lesson: Romans 7:13-25

9
The Nicene Creed
Please stand.

We believe in one God,

the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Leader and People pray responsively.

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church;

That we all may be one.

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;
That your Name may be glorified by all people.

We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;

That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments.

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;

That our works may find favor in your sight.

Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;

That they may be delivered from their distress.

Give to the departed eternal rest.

Let light perpetual shine upon them.

We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.

Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.

Please offer your prayers of intercession and thanksgiving, either silently or aloud.

giveness of our sins:

and so uphold us by your Spirit
that we may live and serve you in newness of life,
to the honor and glory of your Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the
power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen.

The Announcements
Pastor's Forum in March
We have set aside the month of March to discover God's heart for the ex-A
ploited. Please make plans to join in the discussion during the second
(last) session this morning.
Lenten Sermon Series: The Economy of the Kingdom
At a time when our country is facing severe financial crisis, it is essential
for Christians to embrace a biblical worldview concerning money. Indeed,
as we develop a kingdom perspective on it, we are then able to bear faith-
ful witness to the one true God in every context of our lives.
Lenten Journals: Hungry? Feed Yourself
Equipping our church to embrace the spiritual disciplines of Bible reading,
prayer, journaling, and scripture memorization, this journal serves as a
common experience for us throughout Lent. Please pick one up at the
usher’s table and dive in; its introduction tells you all you need to know.
Morning Prayer: Rite Two
Monday through Thursday. 9:30 a.m. Church sanctuary. Bring your 1979
Book of Common Prayer (or use one of ours).
“Weekend For Missions”
Please mark your calendars for our 2009 “Weekend For Missions” on
Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd. Events include a spaghetti sup-
per, our Second Annual Yard Sale and an art auction. More details will be
coming soon.

For all announcements, please visit our website at www.tcotgs.org.

The Offertory
You are My All in All
You are my strength
When I am weak
You are the treasure
That I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
(Chorus)
Jesus Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Taking my sin
My cross my shame
Rising again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all

The Mystery of Our Faith

Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and
ever. Amen.

The Breaking of the Bread

Celebrant: Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us.
People: Therefore let us keep the feast.

The Invitation
Celebrant: These are the gifts of God for the people of God.
Take them in remembrance that Christ died for you,
and feed on him in your hearts by faith, with thanksgiving.

All baptized disciples of Jesus Christ are welcome at God’s table. Please be seated until your
row is invited to come.

At this time, parents may return to the nursery to escort your children back to the sanctuary
for communion.

17
The Communion Hymn
Please be seated and sing.

There Is A Fountain
There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains;
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see

That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he
Wash all my sins away.
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away.
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.

E'er since by faith I saw the stream,

Thy flowing wounds supply;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die.
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood

Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved, to sin no more.
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more.
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved, to sin no more.

18

and heirs of your eternal kingdom.
And now, Father, send us out
to do the work you have given us to do,
to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord.
To him, to you, and to the Holy Spirit,
be honor and glory, now and forever. Amen

Reign In Me
Over all the earth You reign on high
Every mountain stream every sunset sky
But my one request Lord my only aim
Is that You'd reign in me again
(Chorus)
Lord reign in me reign in Your pow'r
Over all my dreams in my darkest hour
You are the Lord of all I am
So won't You reign in me again
Over every thought over every word
May my life reflect the beauty of my Lord
'Cause You mean more to me
Than any earthly thing
So won't You reign in me again
