Basic Operation
Turn On or Off
First, connect the 9V DC Adapter to a 110V power outlet. Then set the power switch to ON.

Remote Control Function

TLL-1100A controls channel or volume controller.

A Master TV Setup can be saved in the TLL-1100A.

Transfer TV information
A Master TV Setup saved in the TLL-1100A can be transferred to another TV.

Reset
With the E button of TLL-1100A pressed, set the Power switch on the right side to ON. Press the E button until the version confirmation screen disappears.

Clone Mode
Copy and Transfer Master TV Setups via M.P.I You can read and write the channel information and menu setting information of TV using the M.P.I port. Save Master TV Setup Information TV channels and other information can be saved in the TLL-1100A. Transfer Master TV Setup Information TV information saved in the TLL-1100A can be transferred to another TV. Warning: Do not use Clone Mode. If a LodgeNet PPV card is installed in TV or clone programmer device will be Damaged.
NOTE Once the TLL-1100A is connected, do not touch the unit or otherwise disturb it or the M.P.I connections. Any disturbance while the clone is operating may disrupt the master step transfer or copying etc.

Before you begin Cloning

Teaching and Learning is only possible between identical model devices. (However, TLL-1100A can store up to 8 different master setup) Warning : Copying a blank or incorrect memory into a TV, STB or other device will cause the TV, STB or other device to operate erratically or become inoperable. Use an Installs remote to operate Learning and Teaching menus. If TLL-1100A Power Off, the Clone Clock time will be lost. Decide if you want to set the time from the TLL-1100A or copy the time to the TLL-1100A; from a compatible TV which has the clock set to the current time. Setting the time and transferring it to the Clone or other device is a separate procedure. After the TV setup has been copied to another identical TV, that identical unit with the copied setup, needs to be disconnected from power for about 15 seconds to activate the newly-copied setup. Displays # at the end of LCD screen when learning is complete. And displays Saved after Bank name on the TV screen. Displays Bank is Empty message when Empty Bank is taught. Or, when Teaching is not successful. Point the unit (TLL-1100A) toward the IR receiver on the TV, or the TLL-1100A will not function properly.

Accessing the Clone Selection Menu

4. Use the F or G button to select desired Bank.

NOTE This mode is for Commercial TVs with M.P.I port and may not work for other TVs. Tune TV to an Analog channel. Cloning will not work if the TV is tuned to a digital channel.

Clone Mode
Learn from TV
This function copies the Master TV setup from the TV to TLL-1100A.

1. Refer to steps 1~6 on page 15. 2. Press the D or E button to select LEARN FROM TV menu. Then press the ENTER button to enter LEARN FROM TV menu.

This function transfers the Master TV setup from the TLL-1100A to the target TV.

5. Press any button to return to CLONE SELECTION MENU. 6. Disconnect TV Power for 15 seconds. Unpluged the AC Power cord of the newly cloned TV from the power outlet for about 15 seconds to activate the newly-copied setup.

Clone Mode
Set Time
This is the function to set the clock of TLL-1100A to the TV time or clock of TV to TLL-1100A time. 1. Refer to steps 1~6 on page 15. 2. Press the D or E button to select SET CLONE CLOCK FROM TV or SET TV CLOCK FROM CLONE menu. Then press the ENTER button to enter SET CLONE CLOCK FROM TV or SET TV CLOCK FROM CLONE menu.

Copy and Transfer a Master TV Setup to a Target TV via RS-232 Save Master TV Setup Information TV channel lineup and TV menu setups can be saved in the TLL-1100A. Transfer Master TV Setup Information TV channel lineup and TV menu setups can be transferred to a Target TV.

Accessing the Installation Menu

[ Use the TLL-1100A ] 1. Press and hold down the ENTER button for three seconds. 2. Then automatically displays Installation Menu. [ Use the Installs Remote ] 1. Press and hold down the MENU button for five seconds. The TV screen will show the Enter Password display. 2. Key in 1-1-0-5 and press the ENTER button. This is the initial password. The password can be changed as required. 3. Then displays Installation Menu as shown below.

Public Display Mode Item Settings
1. Public Display Mode If Public Display Mode is set to Yes (Enabled), all functions of Public Display Settings are active. If Public Display Mode is set to No (Disabled), all functions of Public Display mode are not active. 2. Start Channel This function allows you to determine the initial channel number when the TV is turned On. This feature is useful for an in-house information channel, since the TV would always select that channel when it is turned On. Setting this to 255 causes the last channel viewed when the TV was turned Off, to be the channel tuned to when the TV is turned On again.

3. Minimum Volume This function determines the minimum volume level allowable with the VOLUME (VOL) Up/Down control. In this way, for example, someone cannot set the volume too low to hear. The value range is from 0 to 100 change values with ADJ Left/Right arrow button. The factory default is 0, which provides the full range of volume control. It may be best to set the same value on every TV.
NOTE The minimum volume level cannot have a value setting higher than the MAX VOLUME level (described below).

4. Maximum Volume This function determines the maximum volume level allowable with the VOLUME (VOL) Up/Down controls. In this way, for example, someone can not set the volume level high enough to disturb others. The value range is 0 to 100. Change values with ADJ Left/Right arrow button. It may be best to set the same value on every TV.

NOTE The maximum volume level cannot have a value setting lower than the MIN VOLUME level (described previously).

5. Start Volume This function allows the Installer to determine the initial volume level setting when the TV is turned On. This feature is useful for an in-house information channel, since the TV would always select that Volume level when it is turned on. The range of values are 0 - 100. At TV turn On, if Start Volume level is On, the previous volume level setting is retained in non-volatile memory. 6. Power Management Determines hours of no activity before automatic shutoff. The POWER MANAGE function is for saving energy. If set to No, Power Manage is disabled. Settings range from 1 ~ 7, representing the hours that the unit will remain On, unless there has been activity from either the control panel or remote control. Setting is retained in non-volatile memory. 7. Key Management If set to 1, key defeat prevents the end user from accessing the on-screen menus with the display front panel-MENU, SELECT, and F or G button do not function. If set to 0, those keys do function. Key management when enabled determines the level of control that the guest has over the television.
NOTE The menus can always be accessed by pressing MENU button on the remote.

Key management has four modes: (default is 0) 0 = Television is unrestricted and responds to all commands. 1 = Key defeat prevents the television from responding to MENU key presses on the front panel. 2 = Key Lock prevents the television from responding to any front panel key press. 3 = System provider mode allows access to the menu system from the front panel or remote control but access is controlled as follows : TV Guide if equipped no access : Setup only access to main/pip input select screens : Video no access : Audio no access : Time only access to sleep timer : Option only access to aspect ratio, closed caption, SimpLink : Lock full access Setting is retained in non-volatile memory.

8. Factory Reset Set to 0 for normal. Set to 1 to load presets to all of the previous item settings and exit menu. Warning: Setting this to 1 will reload the factory defaults. Setting is retained in non-volatile memory. 9. Aspect Ratio Selects default aspect ratio at power up, see settings below. Set to 0 to disable. Aspect Ratio will stay at previous state. Set to 1 Set By Program. Set to 2 for 4:3. Set to 3 for 16:9 (Factory Default). Setting is retained in non-volatile memory.

11. Press the RECEIVE button to begin receiving. The LCD will show XXX PRG the progress bar. 12.Check the TV OSD to show receiving progress. The Link-Loader will record the TV setup data in its internal memory. If an error occurs, press RECEIVE button to repeat receiving.

Send (Transfer) Master TV Setup to Target TV
1. With TLL-1100A LCD still showing selected bank, set the Power switch to OFF. Plug RS-232 cable into TLL-1100A. Set the Power switch to ON. 2. Refer to steps 1~8 on page 26 go to Installation Menu. 3. Press the D or E button to select TV Link-Loader. Then press the G button. 4. Ready to Download appears on the screen. 5. Press the SEND button to put the Link-Loader into Send mode. The Link-Loader will transfer the TV setup data in its internal memory to the Target TV. The TLL-1100A LCD will show XXX PRG as it loads the Master TV setup into Target TV. 6. When the procedure is complete, the Target TV will turn off. If download was successful, TLL-1100A LCD will show ComLite Rec.OK. Target TV will revert to standby mode. 7. If an error occurs, press SEND button to repeat sending. 8. ComLite Mode
Password Change
If security for the system is a critical issue, the password can be changed. 1. Refer to steps 1~8 on page 26 go to Installation Menu. 2. Use the D or E button to select the Password Change. Then press the G or ENTER button. 3. Key in 1-1-0-5 or the old password. If the password is incorrect, the unit will return to the Installation menu. 4. Key in a new four digit password, key in the password again for confirmation. Password cannot be 8-7-4-1. That sequence of number is used to enter the calibration menu.

TV_Link Mode
Copy and Transfer Master TV Setups via RS-232 using IR signal from the TLL-1100A. - Using the TV_Link Loader for copying and transferring TV setups is efficient and convenient for large numbers of hotel rooms in a given property. By copying a Master TV setup with RS-232, installation time is significantly reduced. The TV_Link Loader also allows the Installer to load program information wirelessly with the IR funcion.

Accessing the Installation Menu

1. Press and hold down the ENTER button for three seconds until the Installation Menu appears. Warning : Be careful the TV Link Loader doesnt move and point the TV Link Loader towards the IR receiver on the TV during this time. 2. The Installation Menu is automatically displayed as shown below.

Press the RECEIVE button to receive data. 5. TLL-1100A displays current state on LCD screen. And shows current state with volume bar on TV screen. 6. TLL-1100A displays Rec.OK message on LCD screen when receiving data is complete. 7. Completed receiving data function.

TV Models without Installer Menu - Send (IR)

1. Move TLL-1100A IR transmitter so that it is 2-3 inches from TV set IR receiver. 2. Press the SEND button in TV_Link mode. Then press the ENTER button when TV_Link IR Send is displayed. TLL-1100A sends data and displays XXX PRG. 3. Press the SEND button to stop sending data. 4. TLL-1100A LCD displays Send OK message in LCD screen when Sending Data is complete.

PC Mode
After connecting the RS232 port to the PC, use the Terminal program to view the data saved at the Baud rate of 9600. You can display the data of the Bank you want and save the data as a file with the Copy function. You can transmit the file saved on the PC to the desired Bank and save the file to TLL-1100A.

Accessing the PC mode

1. Set the Power switch to ON. Display the Ver X.X.X & Wait... Ver X.X.X Wait... 2. Press the MENU button to select Menu : PC Mode. Menu : PC Mode

3. Press the ENTER button to enter PC Mode. Please check that PC Mode Ready appears on the LCD screen. PC MODE Ready
