(*) Passover is observed at sundown night BEFORE date on calendar

All Biblical days begin at sunset of the previous date of man’s calendars; the weekly
Sabbath is according to our calendar Saturday but begins at sunset on Friday.

Besides the weekly Sabbath,-God has seven annual Sabbaths,-these special Sabbaths (Holy
Days) portray God’s Plan for mankind. Jesus as was His custom kept the weekly Sabbath,
the Passover and other Feast Days.

Jesus and His disciples observed the Passover (Last Supper) at sunset of the beginning of
the 14th while the Jews (for the most part and continued today) moved the Passover to the
night of the 15th (the feast day). Jesus and His disciples partook of the Passover at the
correct time (where Jesus substituted the wine and unleavened bread for the sacrificial
lamb). During the daylight portion of Passover Day the 14th, Jesus was crucified as our
sacrifice and was entombed just prior to sunset and the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread (the
15th). You may ascertain the night of the Passover knowing that the Jews observe it one day
late (it will be the night prior to their calendar observance).

The seven annual Sabbath Holy Days are;-

The 1st and 7th Days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

The Day of Pentecost or the Feast of First Fruits

The Feast of Trumpets

The Day of Atonement

The 1st Day of the Feast of Tabernacles, or Festival of Booths, and-

The Last Great Day of the Feast.

(God’s New Year begins in the spring on Nissan 1 st of the Hebrew calendar. You can
calculate the date by counting backwards from the above calendar dates for Passover being
the 14th of Nissan. The Jews celebrate the civil New Year in the early fall on the Feast of
Trumpets).

What did the calendar look like for the week and date of Jesus’ crucifixion? You may look
