Minutes of Meeting 25 03 2013 Present: Rob Nance, Nick Tregenza, Carolyn Trevivian, Mike Bott, Richard Thatcher, Helen Eynon 1. Jeremy Edwards, CC: Email from him informed us that closure of crossing will continue pending tests. Discussed. Need to clarify points in it. HE will email request for clarification. 2. Ian Prosser, ORR: Coming to meet us Thu 28.03.13. CT will ring JE & invite him to attend. NT, MB & CT will attend. 3. Andrew George, MP: Has written a letter to Norman Baker, Under Secretary, Dft in strong support of re-opening. 4. Legal Representation: Agreed we will consult law firm based in Truro recommended to us, as specialises in rights of way & supporting community groups. 5. Survey: Statistics clearly show that closure is putting people at increased risk. RN will make FOI request to CC for accidents on Marazion road bridge. RN will look at website: http://www.crashmap.co.uk/ 6. Police: RN will get back to Tony Hogg, Police & Crime Commissioner as no response received (1 week after sending email/letter) from JE or anybody at Exeter or Pz police stations regarding the specific point of increased danger. 7. http://www.stopnetworkrail.org.uk/: FOLRMC website set up to confront & change NRs policy of closure of rail crossings on a national level is now ready to become active & publicised. 8. Promised statement from CC & NR: Still not appeared, despite what the last item of the minutes from the meeting held 29.01.13 (almost 2 months ago) state, & several reminders. Apparently we can now expect a public statement on 01.04.13. 9. Carolyn Rule, CC, Health & Wellbeing: Meeting 02.04.13, ask her to look at wider picture & promote this. 10. The Cornishman: Scott Hamilton, Senior Reporter St Ives, appears to be taking on Toby Meyjes role at the moment. HE contacted with request to update the nearly 90% story. SH, seemingly misunderstanding the request. HE will email him back regarding possible story this week in Cornishman. 11. Chetna Khatri, Transparency & Ethics Advisor, NR: Not replied to correspondence. NT will not chase up yet as she had another letter from us recently.
