The colored attendance cards (8:15 AM, Yellow and 10:00 AM, Blue) found in your bulletin are to
register your attendance. You may register your whole family on one card, but be sure to write
in the names of all members attending that day and drop your card in the offering plate. If your
bulletin is missing a card, you can find extras in the back of the sanctuary.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
LENTEN PRAYER AND STUDY GUIDES: During Lent we often
give up something, but this year let’s try something new: In each
week’s worship bulletin will be a prayer and study guide for the
week. It will be a continuation of what was discussed in worship.
Be open to growing in your faith during this time. Prayer and
study guides can also be found on the church website as well as
the past Sunday’s sermon messages.
40 HOURS IN THE DESERT - Sign-Up Today! Mark Hopewell
will be collecting sign-ups and answering questions on the patio
today about this year's Men's Retreat in the Anza-Borrego
Desert. This year's retreat will take place March 27-29. The cost
is $20 per person. Men and youth of the church welcome.
40 DAYS OF CREATION - Participants in this year's Lenten
creative reflection are invited to sign your name on the board
outside the sanctuary, along with the kind of creative work you
will be doing. Projects will be presented as a part of our worship
during Holy Week.
FLOWER CROSS – The Worship committee invites you to help
carry on one of our traditions by bringing fresh flowers to church
on Easter morning to add to our flower cross. What a beautiful
way to celebrate new life as the cross is carried into the sanctuary
at the beginning of each service! For more information call Sheila

SEE’S CANDY ANYONE? - On the patio today the Daycare board
is taking orders for Easter Candy from See’s. Money raised will
go to pay for an unexpected Workman Comp bill.
FLOWER CALENDAR – There are a number of opportunities
available to provide flowers for the communion table on Sunday
mornings. In May we have the 10th, 17th and 31st.
USHERS NEEDED – We are currently in need of volunteers to be
Ushers on the following Sunday services: 8:15 AM on the 1st
Sunday, 10:00 AM on the 2nd Sunday and 10:00 AM on the 3rd
Sunday. There are a total of 5 spots open. Please contact the
church office if you can help with Ushering.
DAYCARE & CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE – Saturday, March 21st
parking lot (as long as it is not raining). Donations can be
brought to Fellowship Hall starting March 13th.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
YOUNGER CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL - This year we will
have a Preschool class as well as a Pre-K/Kindergarten class.
Preschool meets in 203, Pre-K/Kindergarten meets in 202.
LIVING FAITH SUNDAY SCHOOL - (Elementary Age children)
Today we start a new rotation. This two week rotation is on
Jesus washing the Disciples feet. Join us for a special storyteller
zone re-enacting the last supper and an Art zone where we will be
making creations with our feet! This month the children are
bringing non-perishable food items to make sack lunches for
those in need.
YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL - Meets in Sunshine Hall at 10:00 AM.
During the year the group is working their way through the entire
Bible. All youth 7th through 12th grades are welcome.
ADULT CLASSES - Meets in the conference room at 10:00 AM
and is studying James W. Moore’s book “Some Folks Feel the
Rain, Others Just get Wet.” Anyone is welcome to join this group.
K.I.C.K. (Kids In Christ Kingdom) - Our fellowship group for
children 1st through 6th grade, meets Wednesdays 4:30 PM to
6:00 PM. Through drama, games and crafts we learn of God’s
goodness and how to share that goodness with others. Children
are currently preparing for their end of the year musical, new
children are welcome to join. Contact Pastor Diane for more
details.
LOGOS - is our weekday youth program meets every Wednesday
night at 6:00pm. We start with dinner and then move to singing,
game and discussion. All youth 7th through 12th grades are
invited.
WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP? - Small Groups are to develop a
living faith that through fellowship, study, prayer and service we
grow together in Christ’s love. We currently have small groups
that meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in
private homes around Santee. If you are interested in being part
of one of these groups please contact Pastor Diane at (619) 448-
4456 and she will help you find a place to belong.

Our Service:
For the Finance Committee as they work to guide us safely Nursery care is available each Sunday for children 3 years of age
through the financially uncertain times in which we are living. and younger. The nursery is located in the Sunday School area
next to Fellowship Hall. The Ushers can assist you in finding the
WORSHIP NEXT WEEK nursery.
