Introduction
TsavoGroup is a software development and IT consultancy company established in
Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It was born 1st June 2006 doing development of projects in freelance modality for
diverse clients.

From that moment, the company has had a continuous growth and it has
demonstrated its versatility and facility of adaptation to work in diverse conditions,
winning stable clients cause of its dedication and effort.

Since then, the group has worked in at least 30 projects with different technical
features, between which we can mention the use of technologies like Flash, PHP,
Java, Postgres, MySQL, OpenLaszlo, among others, for clients located in Canada,
USA, Arab United Kingdom, Emirates, Australia, Spain and Argentina, with
participation in some cases of other similar development teams located in India,
Romania and USA.

The company was conceived based on that the union and collaboration between
the members is the best way to give a sustained growth, knowing that the obtained
results of an association based on the effort and work can offer more satisfactions
than the individual work. It is for that reason that our philosophy is reflected in the
way in which daily we realised our activities.

To become a reference point in the provision of services and solutions in
information technology, using and developing innovative technology and offering
value added based on it.

Mision
To provide development and technologies consultancy services on an efficient and
transparent way, trying to success on goals from our customers as much as from
our members.

Goals
- Towards our clients: To satisfy its requirements and orders, offering
integral solutions that adjust perfectly to their immediate and future
needs, helping them to plan the growth of its own projects as if they were
ours. On its success our success depends.

- Towards our members: To allow to the professional and intellectual

development of each one of the members of the group, giving a
formation and integral cover on the expectations that could have. We
know clearly that on the personal success of each member of the
group, depends the success of the company.

It is not simple to try to fulfill these propose goals, but we are convinced that it is
possible to reach them, that is why day by day we improve our way to work in order
to make reality this project.

Methods & Resources

Members

The TsavoGroup team is conformed by students and professionals of System

Engineering, and also by postgraduate students in information technology and
businesses as specialization formation.

In order to reach our objectives we think that we must fortify and favor the
professional growth of the members of the group, is for that reason that we
encouraged to the development of professional practices, as well as we facilitate
and we collaborate in the concretion of thesis and final works related to jobs that
are developed within the company.

Our main development platforms experience is related to J2EE/Java, LAMP and

Python with a strong component in RIA (Rich Internet Applications).

We can emphasize that within the mentioned detail we do not have in

consideration some secondary technologies that also are expertise of the group,
like developments in .NET or particular environments in which we worked for some
clients, such as Zimbra platform integrated with Salesforce, Oracle CMR, using
APEX like language in the Salesforce.com platform (vorari.com customer).

Some team members are developing their masters in Businesses or GIS and
remote sensing. Finally, the group counts on additional attendance of resources
that are contracted by project (this way we can satisfy the spontaneous demands
to solve the short term situations, at the same time as we plan projections to
medium and long term. The objective of the company is to have a stable
establishment as far as possible reverting the situations of hiring by spontaneous
demand).

Infrastructure

We have the necessary infrastructure to work centralized way, that is to say in our
office, as well as remoting.

Servers and used development tools allow to carry out tasks from the comfort of
our homes or from our clients locations, with same effectiveness and efficiency that
if we did it from our facilities.

Our facilities are located in 9 of Julio 1145, Tandil, Buenos Aires.

The company has a structure online that allows us to carry out tasks and jobs in a
distributed way, besides observing certain protocols, norms and conventions that
allow to obtain a high degree of organization.

This is obtained through use of collaborative tools such as

- TimeTracker: to track worked hours and tasks carried out.

- SVN: central repository for projects
- TRAC: tool for tasks assignation, bugs and information referring to
the present state of the projects.
- WIKI: dedicated to the documentation of processes, tools, tips, etc.
- Use of diverse IM such as Skype, Yahoo MSN, MSN, etc to
communicate to us with the clients as between the members of the
group as much.

In addition we have a server for development purposes (VPS) and two for
production (dedicated server and a VPS), backup systems on all of them and we
hire services of third parties to guarantee the redundancy and availability in the
necessary resources for our daily work (alternative SVN, WIKI and TRAC).

Methodology & Practises

We have adopted agile methods techniques and extremme programming as base

of our development practises, that is related essentially to our experiences in
projects that they have not required to adopt more formal methodologies; even so,
we also have experience in the use and implementation of methodologies RUP,
CMM and CMMI.

Between our more important and daily practices we can emphasize that:

- We reuse as much code as it is possible in all the platforms, that is

done through use of:

Open Source projects

Own designs that contemplate applications growing and
scalability (own frameworks)

Global vision of the projects as a whole although they are
developed for several clients with different functional features.
- We became qualified and we permanently learn/update in new
technologies and products, trying to incorporate them to the daily
work when the projects require really it. To know about tools
availability allows us to realise a correct selection at the time of
solving a project.
- We participate actively in the OpenSource community to contribute to
the growth and improvement of different projects, inclusively
maintaining our own OpenSource projects.
- We adopt agile methodologies for development. This exigency was
born as a result of starting as freelance developers, which demand
limited times to accomplish on goal with optimal results.

It is important to emphasize that these practices have demonstrated that it is really

possible to obtain what we have proposed like objectives, inspiring confidence to
our clients, fortifying the team professionalism and generating new relationships.
