Families First is moving!! Our family resource centre is getting a new home. We will have a beautiful big, bright spot in the former Legion/Generation X building (located besides the Montague Junior High School) building on Kennedy Street. We will be closed the first week of April to move in to our new space.
Join Janine for a Dental Office tour on March 12 at 9 am. at Dr Stewart MacDonalds Dental Clinic, 270 Queens Road, Montague. This is a great opportunity for your child to see inside a dental office in a nonthreatening and friendly way.

Countdown to Kindergarten
6 week program April 15th Have fun participating in activities with your child who will be entering Kindergarten in September 2013. A great chance to focus on developing preschool skills to practice to be ready for school in the fall. Please register minimum 5 children required. Childcare will be provided for younger siblings. Please pass this on to parents of children entering Kindergarten in the fall

Tuesday mornings 10-11:30. All parents with babies newborn to 12 months are welcome to attend. This is a time to relax, meet other new parents, share your challenges and successes. There is childcare available for older siblings.

Wednesday Morning Music 10-11:30 am This is a time for you and your child/children to take part in some fun, music based activities. There will be songs, rhymes, finger plays and instruments. No musical ability required. There will also be a time to play and enjoy snack.

Families First is teaming up with GO!PEI for a GO!MOMMY go!mommy is a 6 week healthy living course that go!pei offers to help individuals set & reach personal goals around incorporating physical activity & healthy eating into their lifestyle. This program begins April 26th with childcare provided; please register in advance to reserve your space by calling the center at 838-4600.

April is National Oral Health Month Get snack smart with your kids
-Limit the number of times a day your child eats or drinks sugars -Avoid sugary treats that stay in the mouth for a long time like hard candy or lollipops -Avoid soft, sticky sweets that get stuck in your childs teeth -Serve sweets for dessert while there is still plenty of saliva in your childs mouth to wash away the sugars
