Creating the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) involves subdividing the major project into the smaller, more management component. Verifying scope involves formalizing acceptance of the project deliverable. Key project stakeholders, such as the customer and sponsor for the project, inspect and the formally accept the deliverable during this process Controlling scope involves controlling changes to project scope throughout the life of project.
