The Figure 6 shows an experiment to study the effect of frictional force on different surfaces. Wooden block Spring balance

Figure 6 The experiment is carried out according to the steps below. S1 S2 S3 S4 S5 A wooden block is hooked to a spring balance with a thread. The wooden block is then placed on a piece of writing paper. The wooden block is then pulled along the paper and the reading on the spring balance is taken when block starts to move. The experiment is repeated by pulling the wooden block on different types of surfaces. The results of the experiment is recorded in the Table 5 below.
