1. FOR ATTENTION OF STUDENTS OF I B.TECH G-N SECTIONS ENGLISH MINOR II ON 26.3.2013: The second minor test in the course English for Communication for students of I B.Tech sections G-N would be held on 26 of March 2013 ( Tuesday) at 5.00 pm. The allotment of examination halls would be informed to the section CRs later. PRESENTATION OF PRE-SYNOPSIS: MECH. ENGG. DEPARTMENT: Mr. A.M.Nikalje, research scholar (Roll No. 700827) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering is presenting pre-synopsis of his research work on 27.03.2013 (i.e. Wednesday) at 4.30 pm in the MED conference hall. His research topic is Influence of process parameters and powders addition in dielectric fluid for EDM of Titanium alloy and Maraging steel. All the interested faculty and scholars are requested to attend the pre-synopsis seminar talk. Ph.D. VIVA-VOCE EXAMINATION : ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.DEPT The Ph.D. viva-voce examination of Mr. Mithun Bhaskar.M, Research Scholar under the supervision of Prof. Sydulu Maheswarapu in the Department of Electrical Engineering, is scheduled to be held on 28-03-2013 at 10.00 AM in the Computer lab of Electrical Engineering Department. The title of the thesis is, New Nature and Bio-Inspired Computational (NaBIC) Techniques for Power System Optimization Problems. All interested Faculty members and Research Scholars are invited to attend the same. Contd2

:: 2 :: 5. DISPENSARY : MEDICAL INSURANCE/ECG/CANCER CHECK UP: I) The Director had dedicated a new E.C.G. machine for the benefit of Students and Staff of the Institute on 23-3-2013. II) The long awaited cashless medical facilities for the staff will become a reality soon. Instructions to this effect will shortly be issued by the administration. Cancer screening camp is being organized at the dispensary on 2-4-2013 from 9 A.M. to 4.00 .M. The Students and Staff are advised to consult the Medical Officer for further information. Appointments will be given at the Dispensary from 27-3-2013 on appropriate time slots on first come first served basis. The Director had given instructions that free Iron capsules be provided to all the Hostel Girl inmates of the Institute, once a week at the hostels during the meal timings. The same is being implemented from this week. The girl students are advised to use this facility effectively.

RECONCILIATION OF THE FIGURES WITH THE LEDGER BOOKS: All the Heads of the Departments/Sections are requested to depute their concerned staff to the Accounts Section from 18th to 25th March, 2013, for reconciliation of the figures with the Ledger Books of the Audit Section for preparation of Annual Accounts for the year 2012-13, failing which the figures available with the Accounts Section will be considered as final figures and no further transactions will be entertained. ATTENTION of UG & PG STUDENTS : NITW Projects Facilitator Group The second meeting of Project Facilitator Group is scheduled on 25-3-2013 in New Seminar Hall (NSH) from 5.00 PM - 7.00 PM to discuss on the various ideas projected. Please contact Dr. L. Anjaneyulu , Dept. of E.C.E (5.00 PM - 7.00 PM) for further details. II-MINOR TEST: ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGG.
