INVERSIN EXTRANJERA DIRECTA DE ESTADOS

UNIDOS EN MXICO Y NUEVO LEN
Inversin en Mxico
A marzo del 2011, existe aproximadamente un registro de
23,400 sociedades con participacin estadounidense en su
capital social, esto es el 51.1% del total de las sociedades
con inversin extranjera directa en el pas.
La inversin extranjera directa de Estados Unidos en Mxico
entre enero de 1999 y marzo de 2011 asciende a 136,849.0
millones de dlares, cantidad que representa el 51.5% de la
inversin total que ingres al pas en ese periodo y el 92.8%
de la inversin aportada por los pases de Amrica del Norte.
De acuerdo al destino geogrfico, segn la Secretara de
Economa, Nuevo Len ocupa el tercer lugar de las entidades
federativas con inversin proveniente de Estados Unidos,
despus del Distrito Federal y Chihuahua.
Las empresas con inversin estadounidense en Mxico se
ubican principalmente en los siguientes sectores:
1. Industria manufacturera (45.5%)
2. Servicios (33.1%)
3. Comercio (11.7%)

La rama ms importante en cuanto a inversin es la de

servicios de instituciones crediticias, bancarias y auxiliares de
crdito que participa con el 23.1% de la inversin total, le
sigue la industria automotriz con el 8.9%.

En Nuevo Len invirtieron 344 empresas de
estadounidense de enero de 1997 a mayo de 2011.

La inversin extranjera acumulada de Estados Unidos en

Nuevo Len para el mismo periodo suma un total de $10,405
millones de dlares, que ha generado cerca de 86,000
empleos en el Estado.
Los sectores ms importantes en cuanto a inversin
estadounidense son: Automotriz, Metalmecnica, ElctricoElectrnico y Electrodomsticos.
