The Foundation:
The PNP Educational Trust was founded over two decades ago with a vision to provide the best of education to students from different sections of the community. The National Model Secondary School was founded under its aegis and soon gained recognition for its unique approach to education. With Coimbatore fast becoming a metropolis and multi -cultural centre, the trust sees an imperative need to create a a school in lines with NCERT standards. In addition to giving students to learn in a nationally recognised environment, this new school will also facilitate their entry into the premier league colleges in the country.

Mission:
To foster a learning environment of fun that strives to create a unique experience for every child. To identify individual talents amongst children and provide a platform for each of them to excel in. To take the learning experience beyond the boundaries of books and introduce children to evolving concepts of education from the world around. To blend the values of traditional education with state of the art teaching tools to provide a unique experience in and outside the classroom.

Infrastructure

My Domain:
The infrastructure in our school gives us the confidence that we are in the right place and make us feel proud to belong to our school.

Activity Hall:
Our school has a well furnished multi-purpose hall which is always engaged with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which makes

the place lively and energetic. Being in the hall itself triggers the unidentified talents within us.

My Experiments:
We have exclusive labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and for Languages like English, French, Hindi and Tamil which enable us to view knowledge from a practical perspective.

My Turf:
All our classrooms are equipped with Audio-Visual Systems, Air Conditioners, Computers, 24/7 Internet and Video Projectors making education integrated with technology.

Library:
A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life. - Henry Ward Beecher Library is our magical world, well stocked with books of poems, stories, fictions, magazines, periodicals etc., We acquire astounding knowledge, fresh and up to date. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful collection of books on all subjects. The books have been arranged according to their subject and we have no difficulty in finding any book of our choice. We are proud of our library. The books are our constant companion and we make the best use of them. The students of class iii and above are allowed to take library books home on weekends abiding the rules of the library.

Conveyance
Our friends hail from different parts of the city and a fleet of 15 buses enable this task. We, from east, west, north and south, converge at

Peelamedu utilising cosy and comfortable buses which make our journey safe and enjoyable.

Home away from home:

We are offered with hostel facilities when we require enabling not to miss the school because of the distance.

Faculty

The involvement of our faculties is a key to the formulation of new and inspiring systems. Of course the voyage and the pursuit of knowledge is not a smooth sailing but wherever there is a real impediment our teachers will tell us how to go about it.

Teaching Methodology:
Our school adopts new methods of teaching through PPTs, Audio/Visual CDs, Online Teaching, Quiz, Roleplay, Debates, Demos, Experiments, Enactments etc which give our school a unique reputation.

Language System:
Our School follows three language system from LKG to Class V. All the three languages are given equal importance in imparting the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The first language is English; the second language is Hindi and the third language being Tamil up to Class V. From Class VI to VIII, we are given choice to choose either Hindi or Tamil as our II Language and French is offered as the third language. Our friends in classes IX and X, will have only 2 languages, English and either Hindi or Tamil. The language chosen as the second language in class VI becomes the second language for the Board Exam.

Home Tasks:
Our school has broken the barriers of conventional methods of learning. Our teachers ensure that we carry less in our hand in the form of notebooks and home works and carry more in our brain in the form of knowledge.

Projects:
The habit of learning is practiced even during holidays by various assignments and activities given to us in the form of projects.

Evaluation and Assessments:

We have a healthy evaluation and assessment pattern wherein only grades are given to us and no comparison is made. The school makes us realize that we have our own talents and potential and we are unique in our own way. To ensure that each of us get individual attention, the student teacher ratio is maintained at 10:1.

Recognition:
The best performers among us are recognized by honouring with Badges of Recognition and Appreciation.

Field Trip:
We are taken out on educational trips with the prior intimation to the parents. We are taken out once in a term though it is not confined to one. The places will depend on the lessons we learn and the concepts we come across. It is indeed a worthy educational tour which promotes better understanding of the concepts.

Industrial Visit:
Our teachers make our learning a pleasant joyful ride by taking us to various industries enabling us to view the world beyond the protected walls of our campus.

Film Fest:
Visual Learning is also imparted in us by displaying movies which are worth watching and informative once in a term.

SUPW:
Hold fast to your aims; for if aims fade; life is broken winged bird that cannot fly. Success means perseverance and we are tied with the

relentless move of the time. We are scheduled with the life oriented programme of ten days in the month of April wherein we come across variety of schemes which educate us and ensures us with useful and productive experience in the life skills such as soap powder making, paper-bag making, paper mash, knitting, stitching, etc., it is excellent experience and enjoyable. Mahatma envisaged a society where educational institutions combine academic teaching with vocational training.

Carrier Zone:
Special English offers a wide scope for the progress of English, the lingua franca. Systematic well-planned lessons along with inspiring activities help us to reach the heights of tremendous improvement in the acquisition of the language. We feel that the language is no longer a barrier, but it paves the path for the better understanding and usage of this foreign tongue.

Activities

Clubs:
We derive tremendous experience and knowledge from club activities. We are never shackled to the past or its conceptual formulation. We always look ahead to the new and upcoming and that too with great confidence and optimism. We are bestowed with unique opportunities to be the front runner and develop in us an indomitable spirit. This means two; firstly, we have an aim, and work for it. Secondly, never allow the problems become our master. We master the problems, defeat

and succeed. Wide range of activities ensures to make us the gre atest asserts of the nation.

Competitions:
We live in a competitive world, and a fiery competitive spirit is very much essential in the present scenario. Hence, the various intra, inter competitions are conducted throughout the year as per schedule. Our determination to achieve goal can really work wonders. We are like race-horses whether there is a race or not, a race horse needs to keep running, in order to remain fighting fit. We bring out our inner potentials which help us to face lifes ordeals resolut ely.

Houses:
To instill the leadership qualities and to generate cooperative and team learning, all of us are clubbed in quadruple houses namely, the Skiers, the Mariners, the Sprinters and the Flyers. We add points to our respective houses as we win in the intra-school competitions, school assembly and by our attitude in the school premises. The house which attains the maximum points will be awarded with the rolling trophy on the school day. The exquisite house names manifest our ignited mind with an irresistible spirit. As the skiers take their daring feet towards their expedition in the pile of snow, we move in the venture with unity and fraternity, and the Mariners alike, we go far and wide deep under the ocean to seek knowledge in unfathomable depth in pursuit of our target. So are the sprinters, with an incomparable spirit excel in all ventures with an accelerating phase with no matching speed dashing through the whirling wind and shoving it behind. And we flyers with the motto soaring high make our moves and we know that the sky is not our limit and we should fight with courage to reach for the stars and with all positive attitudes we parade on towards our goal.

Rewards and Recognition:

Our success springs from the school which is a world by itself. We proudly proclaim it as our domain as it engulfs us with safety and confidence. It always helps us to do something better, speedier and with high quality of which we are proud of. A path from dream to success does exist and the pluralistic objectives o f the school ascertains that we accomplished. Our school takes us to the realm of wisdom and intellectual quest, and teaches us to discover and seize the opportunities. At the advent of every month, we receive accolades in the form of badges engraved with Regularity, calligraphy, congeniality, neatness, communication and discipline engraved on them.

Magazine:
With the view to improve our literary skills, we are bestowed with an opportunity of producing different articles, riddles, poems, manuscr ipts etc., which takes a shape in the form of E-blossoms (monthly) and Blossoms (Bi-annually). It offers a platform for the exposure of our literary perception along with creative and innovative thinking. Our teachers are behind us to support us when we are off-track in achieving this skill. We feel immense joy and a sense of accomplishment as men of letters and as real journalists in view of our products.

ExtraCurricular
Dance:

Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is no mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself. - Havelock Ellis We are guided to make the postures with the unique style and while learning we are patient and steady with so much care we learn that our tapping feet never like to rest and ready to meet every challenge with care. Its equal to the celestial play which makes feel the exuberance of it. It not only relaxes our muscle but also our mind. It is an unique freedom enjoyed by the feet traversing far and wide.

Music:
Music plays a yielding effect in our life and it is the best part of our co curriculum. The soft and sweet notes of music captures the air and we feel engrossed in the wonderland of Alice. The vocal and instrumental music engulf us with peace and harmony of nature and it definitely renders us the rhythm and enjoyment. Every symphony needs a conductor; and we are blessed with the best musician what so ever!

Karate:
Many people envision karate and the martial arts as they are depicted in the movies. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Karate is not about prolonged violent fighting scenes where people are being mimed and killed. But our school enables us to realize that is about respect, confidence, control of oneself and humility. The well-rounded teachings of martial arts positively impact us to enhance our skills and place emphasis on their values and attitudes. We learn the techniques that build strength, endurance, flexibility, posture, balance and coordination. Through this popular sport, we derive many non-physical benefits as well.

Yoga:
Yoga is a form of exercise, meditation, and practices designed with Indian rules. It brings unity to the mind, body and spirit. For us, students it serves fruitfully as it enhances our concentration. It teaches us self-discipline. We learn to relax and gain control over the body and mind.

NIE Newspaper in Education:

It makes a significant impact and helps us advance the current and awareness of facts and fiction. It plays an important role in our school life, we get not only news but also views. They make us understand that newspapers are the watch dogs of democracy and they make us realize that if democracy is to survive, newspaper should not only be fearless but also make the people fearless. Its the best f orm of literacy and adds one more multicolour feather in our educational system. We are certain it will flourish in leaps and bounds.

Tata - sky:
Tata sky educational programme has installed which offers elegant and colourful activities with Disney games and stories with their favourite characters. It envisions and widens our literary skills to a greater extent.

Mi-kids:
Our institution has launched the Mi-kids phonic programme that comprises of interactive sequences with colourful and virtually appealing characteristics. It gives a profound scope for improvising a language skills and phonic skills and helps us rapidly into free and confident readers.

Helen Ogrady:

Apart from the curriculum, we partake in Helen Ogrady and have advanced tremendously in the theatrical skill and no doubt we have increased a confidence in performances. By attending this, our creative thinking, team and competitive spirit come to the fore.
