Hey, do you believe in an actual Heaven and Hell? Like a real place for Heaven and Hell?

he asked her. Depends if you do or do not, she replies without lifting her head from her book. Why? Because, she looks at him straight in the eye. I dont want people getting on my nerves. You know, that kind of question is usually rhetorical. Like when people ask you that question and you tell the opposite of what their belief is, theyd just talk non-stop and try to convince you that what they believe is the right one. He shrugs, seeing her point. And you know I hate it when people force their beliefs on me, she says while returning her gaze to her book. Or to any other person. He nods. Okay, but what if I tell you I have no opinion about that matter, he said as though willing her to take the bait. She looks at him again, annoyance evident on her face. He backs away surrendering. Okay. Okay. Im sorry, he says with a smile. Not asking again. She looks at him for a moment before she replies. I do not believe in a hidden celestial castle up in the clouds or a fiery pit hidden in the Earths core. Heaven and Hell, for me, are both states of the mind, the heart, and the soul. When I know that I have raised my future children into proper, great, and awesome peoplejust like methen I believe I am in Heaven already, she explains with a smile. He looks at her with an endearing smile. She always believed that her mission in this world is to be a mother. I like that. I wonder who the lucky guy would be, he teased. She looks at him with her steely gray eyes, her face unreadable. Okay, I got another question, he hurriedly said before an awkward silence grows. What do you think will happen to us after we die? Oblivion? he suggested. She considered it thoughtfully, her eyes staring at something in her upper right. She taps the butt of the highlighter on her chin and he takes a moment to appreciate this cute gesture. I think, she begins slowly. Reincarnation, she finally says. He knits his eyebrows for elaboration. Well, I read a post about this once and this was what I believed in since. When we die, we meet God. He tells us that we are about to be reincarnated, 50 years before or 100 years after our time. But it wouldnt matter because time is just a concept that we, humans, made. He tells us that we are only one personI am you and you are me; all living a different life at the same time. She pauses to let it sink. Whatever we do to others, we are doing to ourselves. Eventually as we keep on being reincarnated, we get wiser and wiser until we become what we know as perfect. And when that happens, we become a Godjust like the God talking and explaining things to us then. And thats our goal in life: perfection of character. Once we perfect our character, the chain ends and it is our turn to direct other people now, she stops. Wow, he said after a very long silence. She gives a small chuckle, You dont have to believe me. If you believe youll go to a better place or wherever, its okayits your belief. You are not obliged to believe mine.

Always a considering person, he smiles. One more question, if God was a previous human who perfected himselfthen who made him? Ill be honest to you and tell you I do not know. Well, dont you have at least a theory? No. No? Why not? Dont you ever wonder about it? No, I do not. Id rather not think about it or voice whatever my thoughts about it are because it only gives me headaches and a pointless argument. I mean, so what if we know who made God? So what if we know our purpose in life? Call it cynical thinking, but knowing that doesnt really change our fate does it? Shes put her book down, shes serious. Whats important right now is living. Not just existing but living. I dont want to waste my short time in this world before I am reincarnated again questioning and arguing about the Above and Our Purpose. He smirks. What? I am forever marvelling at how your mind works. Oh, you dont want to know, she smiles, breaking the ice.
