Project: TA to KOSVET, Phase I The overall objective was to support Kosovos economic development through the transformation of the VET system Main tasks included: Support and contribute to the development of standards, curricula, course delivery, assessment and career guidance in 3 occupational areas: business administration, electronics and information technology Specific tasks included: Conducting 5 training needs assessment workshops. For this task, 30 representatives of companies were trained, with support by Kosovo Chamber of Commerce-OEK Carrying out a labour market and skill needs analysis survey including specific focus on the specified occupational areas in conjunction with the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce-OEK; 300 companies interviewed within Kosovo Development of a training manual, A comprehensive approach to HRD, and organising a seminar with the participation of about 50 enterprises. The main objective of the seminar and manual was to raise the awareness for the importance of the business community involvement in the development of a demand-driven VET system Publishing a paper on: Vocational education and training through demand-driven curriculum development From Labour Market Demand via Training Needs Assessment to Curriculum Development (by Ram Likaj and Eric Guttmann) Industrial development programme: TA to State Owned Enterprises (SOE): ABU-IDP was an EU-funded financing organisation set up to revitalise industrial SOE in Kosovo Industry and SME in the private sector. Description Peer review Cross-country study on VET finance ETF has initiated an activity in the West Balkan Countries to analyse and support the exchange of experience on VET reforms. This initiative refers to the policy development and implementation in the VET sector in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro.
