MCT Enrollment and Renewal Quick Reference Guide

Overview
The Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) program is an annual membership program. You will need to complete an online application, pay an annual fee, and meet the program requirements to enroll as well as to renew your certification each year. This Quick Reference Guide shows you how to enroll as an MCT, or how to renew your certification for 2013.

Using this Guide


Before starting the enrollment process, you will need: Your Microsoft account, formerly known as Windows Live ID Your Metrics that Matter (MTM) ID An accepted form of payment for the program fee (varies by region) This Quick Reference Guide is for both new MCTs and MCTs who are renewing their certification. New MCTs enrolling in the program for the first time: Follow steps 1-5 on Page 2 (Authentication New Enrollment) Then, go to Verification and Billing on Page 4 and follow steps 1-17. Existing MCTs re-enrolling in the program for 2013: Follow steps 1-4 on Page 3 (Authentication Renewal) Then, go to Verification and Billing on Page 4 and follow steps 1-17. There are links to further resources on the final page.

Key Dates

Go to the MCT Enrollment tool and then sign in with your Microsoft account (formerly known as Windows Live ID).

Authentication - New Enrollment


1. Log directly into the MCT Enrollment tool or navigate to it from the MCP or MOS Member sites. 5. Confirm your personal information, and then enter your Metrics that Matter (MTM) ID in the field. If you do not yet have an MTM ID, click the link to Apply for a Metrics that Matter (MTM) ID.

2. Click Create a New MCT Enrollment Application. 3. On the Agreements page, read the MCT Program Guide and the MCT Program Agreement. 4. Check the boxes to accept the MCT Program Guide and the MCT Program Agreement, and then click Next.

Authentication Renewal
1. After logging into the MCT Enrollment tool, click Create a New MCT Enrollment Application. 4. Confirm the accuracy of your personal information, including your Metrics that Matter (MTM) ID. Click Edit if you need to change your MTM ID.

Note: The Application Status box only shows applications for the current year. This is a change from previous years. 2. On the Agreements page, read the MCT Program Guide and the MCT Program Agreement. 3. Check the boxes to accept the MCT Program Guide and the MCT Program Agreement, and then click Next.

Verification and Billing


Note: See previous steps from either Authentication New Enrollment (page 2) or Authentication Renewal (page 3) above. 1. Select your Primary Training Audience and Employment Type from the drop-down boxes.
Note: If you have a Microsoft IT Academy ID and do not know it, contact the ITA Administrator. Due to security restrictions, Customer Service cannot provide this number.

4. Verify that all information entered on the enrollment form is correct, then type your signature exactly as it appears below the signature box. 2. If your Employment Type is either Microsoft Learning Partner or Microsoft IT Academy, enter the ID number to receive the associated discounts. 3. If your organization has agreed to pay for your renewal, select the first radio button. Otherwise, select I am responsible for paying the fee for this application. 5. Click Next.

6. On the Microsoft Certified Trainer Validation Page, enter a voucher number (if you have one) into the dialog box.

10. On the Shipping page, confirm that all contact information is correct to receive a welcome kit.

7. Click Continue. 8. On the Product Information page, verify that the Price and Quantity fields are correct. If you entered a voucher number, discounts will be applied. 11. Click Continue. 12. On the Enter Billing Information page, select the billing option and verify your payment details and billing address. Note: If your organization is paying your fee, their contact 9. 14. On the Review and Place Order page, confirm that all information is correct.

15. Check the I Agree box to confirm that you accept the Terms & Conditions. 16. Click Place Order.

17. On the Receipt Page, click Printer-friendly Receipt to print your receipt for your records.
