Circle of Prayer and Healing

Todays readings remind us that Jesus has triumphed over hell and death, as well as how Jesus gave his disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit, which enabled them to do many signs and wonders! In response we echo the responsorial Psalm, Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love is everlasting and His mercy endures forever! We are called to be a resurrection people and reflect Gods love and mercy in our own lives and relationships with others. Let your marriage sacrament truly reflect Gods love and mercy. Attend the next Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend on April 12-14, 2013. Contact Jim and Kris McCulloch, 630-577-0778. For more information visit our website at: wwmejoliet.org.

St. Peregrine prayer service Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the church.

All solutions and healings come from the Eucharist because the Eucharist is Jesus. It is important to make a sacrifice of our time and sign up for a specific hour of adoration simply because Jesus has gone out of His way, to descend from Heaven, to come to Christ The King to speak to us and heal us but this takes many appointments. Jesus appreciates any visit and bestows many graces on us. But how much more will He heal us when we imitate Him and go out of our way in visiting Him by signing up for a particular Holy Hour.

Protecting Gods Children

The Diocese of Joliet is continually reviewing and updating its efforts to ensure the safety of our youth. One program that has significantly impacted this effort is the VIRTUS Protecting Gods Children workshops. This three hour workshop raises awareness of sexual abuse. It empowers participants with tools necessary to recognize the signs of abuse and knowledge of how to respond to behaviors of concern. All adult employees and volunteers working with minors are required to attend this workshop. Monthly bulletin updates are also available for those who want to continually learn more about protecting our youth. The Diocese of Joliet currently has over 200 facilitators and workshops are scheduled every week. To register for a workshop contact your local parish or go to www.dioceseofjoliet.org Click Protecting Children then click VIRTUS Protecting Gods Children Workshop Schedule. Follow the instruction for registration. This program is free to participants. Morality Series April 10, 17 & 24 @ 7pm in the Parish Life Center
Course Description: To be a Christian is a matter not only of believing in Jesus but, as St. Paul describes it, of living in Christ so that I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me (Gal 2:20). This course explores Christian moral principles by beginning with the dignity and vocation of the human person created in the image and likeness of God; it addresses key concepts such as freedom, responsibility, moral conscience, virtue and vice, law and grace, and the Beatitudes; it concludes with an overview of the Ten Commandments as the basis of our moral life in Christ.

Year of Faith: Catechism Corner

We can invoke God as Father
because he is revealed to us by his Son become man and because his Spirit makes him known to us. The personal relation of the Son to the Father is something that man cannot conceive of nor the angelic powers even dimly see: and yet, the Spirit of the Son grants a participation in that very relation to us who believe that Jesus is the Christ and that we are born of God.
