Shell Point Baptist Uth

Teaching Uth Practical Obedience to our Savior

New Things are coming...

Wow!! Spring Break 2013 has already come and gone. It has been a challenging but great year of ministry at Shell Point Baptist. God has allowed us to minister to several new students. As I think about who we are ministering to, I am amazed that God has allowed us to influence so many students whose families are not actively involved in a church. In fact, the statistics for the low country tell us that 70-75% of people here are unchurched. An estimated 30% of SPBC middle/high school students have their families actively attending our ministries, That is about 4 out of 12 students that we have here at SPBC. It is exciting to know God has allowed us to see 70% of middle/high school students reached that have no parent involved in church at all. That is outreach!! We have some great things ahead for our student ministry. I am looking forward to seeing our students serve along side 100 students and adults April 12-14 during uncensored. We gearing up for another great summer with Summersalt June 10-14, Jerusalem Project (soccer camp), and lots of other great things in store. Give God the praise!! Pressing On! Pastor Russell 843.247.2843 rawhitfield72@gmail.com Reallifestoriesthatinspire.wordpress.com I want to encourage you to try out one of our youth classes on Sunday Mornings. We have a Middle School class and a High School class. In the fall of 2013, we will be beginning a brand new youth curriculum that deals with the hot topics you will go through as a middle school and high school student. Keep your eyes peeled!! Challenge this month: See how many new friends you can bring to your class this week. See you on Sunday Mornings!!

During the ZONE, our weekly Wednesday Night worship service for middle and high school students. We finished another great series on Purity and waiting for your Gods plan. We will be embarking on a short series beginning Wednesday April 10 using Summersalts drama from the year 2006. You dont want to miss it, and you will want to bring a friend. We are working on some live worship. Come early at 6:15pm and play some ping pong. We also have some great food provided by some of our adults in our church. A BIG thank you to Jana Reaves for taking on this awesome ministry for all our youth and children. We hope to see you at the ZONE Wednesday Nights at Shell Point Baptist across from Bilo on Parris Island at 6:30p. If you need a ride please do not hesitate to call: 247.2843 or 522.8616.

Bus Ministry
Our Church has a strong Bus Ministry that has been going on for over 4 years now. We have picked up students and children from all over Beaufort and Ladys Island every Wednesday Night and Sunday Night. We have various members of our church leading this awesome ministry so that children, teens, and adults/families can make it to a Bible Study geared just for them. If you have any questions or need to place your son/daughter/or yourself on the list, please contact Russell at 247.2843 or church office at 522.8616. Each Sunday evening at 5:00pm, middle school and high school uth will get together for our ongoing study over Angels, Demons, and Spiritual Warfare. We meet in the youth room (The ZONE).

This is a time for our students to come together for deeper discussion, prayer time, and encouragement through the Word of God. Come on out and Join us for some POWERFUL stuff that cover some of the most important beliefs a student could ever understand. We aim to offer environments that are safe and nonthreatening as we discuss vitally important teachings of Gods Word.

Walking beside of Jesus has been the focus of our Youth I class for the past nine months. Beginning with the prophesy of our Lords birth, we have explored the life that Jesus led as a human on earth. We were there at his birth and when he was found in the Temple. We watched as he chose His disciples and performed many miracles and taught parables. The torture that Jesus endured and sacrifices He made for us left us speechless and in Awe of the love He has for us. We are winding up our study of Jesus life on earth and look forward to our journey into our next study. Your Servant in Christ, Mellissa Ellis SPBC Sunday Morning Middle School Teacher
