Important information
Preparing/Protecting the washing and the machine
Empty pockets.
Remove metal parts (paper clips, etc.).
Turn inside out, e.g. knitwear, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Make sure that the wire-cup bras are machine washable.
Wash delicates in a net/bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
Close zips, button up covers.
Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
Remove curtain hooks or place curtain in a net/bag.
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any washing in the washing machine! Turn on the tap, Set the Easy-Care 60 C
programme and select Start/Pause.
At the end of the programme, set the programme selector to Off.
Washing with different degrees of soiling
Wash new items separately.
Light Do not prewash.
Pretreat stains. Select Cottons Prewash programme.
Heavy Load less washing. Prewash.
Select Cottons Prewash programme.
Soaking Load washing of the same colour
Single soaking programme for heavily soiled laundry. After soaking, please select other
washing programmes according to textiles.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Take starch suitable for 15 liter water and make it into liquid starch in accordance with the
manufactures instructions. Set the programme to Rinse. Select spin speed and then Start/
Pause. Add starch to dispenser I as soon as water flows into the machine.
Dyeing/bleaching
Do not dye/bleach laundry in the washing machine.
Down Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener.
Only wash laundry filled with down, no down pillows or bedding. Wash large items
seperately. Pour detergent economically. And then dry the laundry in drying machine to
prevent clumpping.
Emergency release e.g. in the event of power failure
The programme will continues to run when the power is restored.
However, if the laundry has to be removed, the washing
machine door can be opened as follows:
Risk of scalding.
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot.
If possible, leave it to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen through
the glass.
Set the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
Drain the detergent solution-> Page 10
Pull the emergency release with a tool and release. The washing machine door can then
be opened.

... Start/Pause indicate light goes out and or
(if was selected, without drain) appears on the
display field, the buzzer sounds. Set volume of buzzer ->
page 5.
If was selected, run Spin programme firstly to
drain water before remove the laundry.
Touch Start/Pause button directly (the defualt spin
speed can be changed), Spin programme starts.
Or select Spin programme, set spin speed, touch Start/
Pause button.

If you have selected the wrong programmeby mistake:
Reselect the programme.
If necessary, set programe and select additional functions.

Touch the Start/Pasus button.
Follow the instructions in the display field: when
lights up and appears in the displays, the door
can be opened. If required, add/remove washing. If

a high temperature or the spin speed.

Safety instructions
Read and follow the operating and installation instructions and all other information
enclosed with the washing machine.
Retain documents for subsequent use.
Risk of electric shock Never pull out the mains plug by tugging the power cord.
Never insert/pull out the mains plug with damp hands.
Make sure the cable is pluged into a socket which conncted with
reliable earth correctly.
Risk of death Redundant appliances:
Pull out the mains plug.
Sever the power cord and discard together with the plug.
Destroy the lock on the washing machine door.
This will prevent children from locking themselves in and
suffocating.
Risk of suffocation Keep packaging, plastic film and packaging parts out of the reach
of children.
Risk of poisioning Keep detergents and care products out of the reach of children.
Risk of explosion Caused by detergents containing solvents, e.g. stain remover/
items of washing pretreated with solvent naphtha may cause an
explosion after being loaded into the washing machine. Rinse
such items thoroughly by hand before putting in the washing
machine.
Risk of injury Washing machine door may become very hot.
Take care when draining hot detergent solution.
Do not climb on the washing machine.
Do not lean on the open washing machine door.
Do not touch the drum in case it is still spinning.
Make sure the pump cap is screwed on when the machine is
running, avoid water leakage and touching the working
components of pump.

Care
Machine housing, control panel
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
Immediately remove washing and cleaning agent residue.
Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.
Clean the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residue.
1. Pull out, depress the insert and remove completely.
2. Remove insert: Press the insert upwards with your finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser and the insert with water and a brush and
4. Refit the insert and secure in place (the cylinder should fit over the guide
pin).
5. Insert the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that residual water can
evaporate.
Drum
Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry.
Rust stains use chlorinefree cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Descaling No washing in the machine!
This should be not be necessary if the detergent is dispensed
correctly. However, follow the instructions of the descaler
manufacturer.
Information on the display panel
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause
status, and are displayed alternately.
Door is locked due to safety reasons (water level above door lock level and/
or temperature level above door lock temperature); in pause status, and
are displayed alternately. If you need to open the door, wait for the
temperature to drop or drain the water, e.g. select Spin programme.
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock coil.
Wait a moment and try again.

Maintenance
Detergent solution pump
Set the programme selector to Off, pull out the mains plug.
1. Open and remove the service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the retainer.Carefully unscrew the pump
Remove the sealing cap, allow the detergent solution to follow out.
Push the sealing cap back in.
3. Carefully unscrew the pump cover (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing
(the impeller in the detergent solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert pump cover and screw on tightly. The handle should be
upright. Place the drainage hosse back in the retainer.
6. Place the service flap back on and close
To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next
wash: pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter in the water inlet hose
Reduce the water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap.
2. Select any programme (except Spin).
3. Select Start/Pause. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set the programme selector to Off. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
1. Remove the hose from the tap.
Clean the filter with a small brush.
or
Remove the hose from the rearof the appliance.
Remove filter with pliers and clean.
2. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
Risk of scalding! Allow detergent
solution to cool down!
Turn off the tap!

What to do if ...
Detergent solution is not drained. Clean detergent solution pump -> Page 10.
Clean outlet pipe and/or drainage hose.
Water not visible in the drum. Not a fault - water below the visible area.
Spin result not satisfactory. Wash small and large items of washing together.
Less Iron selected? -> Page 5.
Speed selected too low? -> Page 5.
Spin cycle actuated several times. Not a fault - unbalanced load detection system adjusts
imbalance.

Care
Machine housing, control panel
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
Immediately remove washing and cleaning agent residue.
Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.
Clean the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residue.
1. Pull out, depress the insert and remove completely.
2. Remove insert: Press the insert upwards with your finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser and the insert with water and a brush and
4. Refit the insert and secure in place (the cylinder should fit over the guide
pin).
5. Insert the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that residual water can
evaporate.
Drum
Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry.
Rust stains use chlorinefree cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Descaling No washing in the machine!
This should be not be necessary if the detergent is dispensed
correctly. However, follow the instructions of the descaler
manufacturer.
Information on the display panel
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause
status, and are displayed alternately.
Door is locked due to safety reasons (water level above door lock level and/
or temperature level above door lock temperature); in pause status, and
are displayed alternately. If you need to open the door, wait for the
temperature to drop or drain the water, e.g. select Spin programme.
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock coil.

Maintenance
Detergent solution pump
Set the programme selector to Off, pull out the mains plug.
1. Open and remove the service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the retainer.Carefully unscrew the pump
Remove the sealing cap, allow the detergent solution to follow out.
Push the sealing cap back in.
3. Carefully unscrew the pump cover (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing
(the impeller in the detergent solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert pump cover and screw on tightly. The handle should be
upright. Place the drainage hosse back in the retainer.
6. Place the service flap back on and close
To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next
wash: pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter in the water inlet hose
Reduce the water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap.
2. Select any programme (except Spin).
3. Select Start/Pause. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set the programme selector to Off. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
1. Remove the hose from the tap.
Clean the filter with a small brush.
or
Remove the hose from the rearof the appliance.
Remove filter with pliers and clean.
2. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
Risk of scalding! Allow detergent
solution to cool down!
Turn off the tap!

What to do if ...
Detergent solution is not drained. Clean detergent solution pump -> Page 10.
Clean outlet pipe and/or drainage hose.
Water not visible in the drum. Not a fault - water below the visible area.
Spin result not satisfactory. Wash small and large items of washing together.
Less Iron selected? -> Page 5.
Speed selected too low? -> Page 5.
Spin cycle actuated several times. Not a fault - unbalanced load detection system adjusts
imbalance.
