Instructions
Basic pattern: Work dc in spirals, mark round end with an end of waste yarn. For all sections to be sewn on, cut yarn tail slightly longer.

Head, white:
Crochet 4 ch, then close to a ring with 1 slst into 1st ch. Rnd 1: 6 dc into the ring. Rnd 2: 2 dc into each st. Rnd 3: 2 dc into every 2nd st, with 1 dc in between. Rnd 4: 2 dc into every 3rd st. Rnds 5-7, 10, 12, 14-17, 19, 22: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 8: 2 dc into every 4th st. Rnd 9: 2 dc into every 5th st. Rnd 11: 2 dc into every 6th st. Rnd 13: 2 dc into every 7th st (= 48 dc). Rnd 18: Crochet off 2 tog every 5 sts. Rnd 20: Crochet off 2 tog every 4 sts.

Trunk, pink:
Crochet 4 ch, then close to a ring with 1 sl-st into 1st ch. Work rounds 1-4 as for head. Rnd 5: 2 dc into every 4th st. Rnd 6: 2 dc into every 5th st. Rnds 7, 9, 11, 13+14, 16+17, 19, 21: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 8: 2 dc into every 6th st. Rnd 10: 2 dc into every 7th st (= 48 sts). Rnd 12: Continue with white, 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 15: Crochet off 2 tog every 5 sts. Rnd 18: Crochet off 2 tog every 4 sts. Rnd 20: Crochet off 2 tog every 7 sts. After 21st round cut yarn.

Arms, white:

Rnd 20: Crochet off 2 tog every 5 sts. Rnds 21+22: 1 dc into each dc. Cut yarn, sew opening closed.

Tail, white:
Crochet 4 ch, then close to a ring with 1 slst. Work rounds 1+2 as for head. Rnd 3: Crochet 2 dc into every 4th st. Rnds 4+5: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 6: Crochet off 2 tog every 2 sts.

Legs:
With white crochet 16 ch and close to a ring with 1 slst. Rnds 1-3: 1 dc into each st; continue with rose. Rnd 4: 2 dc into each st. Rnd 5: 1 dc into each dc Rnd 6: Crochet off 2 tog every 3 sts (= 24 sts), turn and continue in open rows. Miss 1 dc, crochet 14 dc, turn, miss 1 dc, crochet 12 dc, cut yarn.

Waistcoat pink:
Crochet 56 ch + 1 ch for turning and crochet 6 rows dc across these 56 ch. Row 7: 3 dc, crochet off 2 tog, *4 dc, crochet off 2 tog, rep from *; end with 3 dc. row 8: 1 dc into each dc. For one front crochet 3 rows dc over 11 sts, then: 7 dc, turn, crochet into 2nd st 1 slst, 5 dc, turn, 4 dc, crochet 3 rows dc over these sts, then cut yarn. Work 2nd front in reverse. For back crochet 1 row dc across the 21 centre sts, then: turn, crochet 3 dc, *crochet off 2 tog, 4 dc, rep from *, end with 3 dc; turn. Row 3: dc. Row 4: 3 dc, *crochet off 2 dc tog, 3 dc, rep from *. Rows 5-7: 1 dc into each dc. Crochet another 2 rows dc over 4 sts on either side. Close shoulder seams, crochet first dc with pink, then with Anchor Embroidery Yarn 76 crochet around all edges and sew on buttons.

Feet, white:
Crochet 4 ch, then close to a ring with 1 slst. Work rounds 1-3 as for head. Rnds 4-18: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 19: Crochet off 2 tog every 5 sts. Rnd 20: 1 dc into each dc, stuff foot. Rnd 21: Crochet off 2 tog every 2 sts, then crochet off 2 tog throughout until opening closed.

Ears, white:
Crochet 4 ch, then close to a ring with 1 slst. Work rounds 1-3 as for head. Rnds 4+5: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 6: 2 dc into every 6th st (= 21 sts). Rnds 7-12: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 13: Crochet off 2 tog every 2 sts. Rnds 14-17: 1 dc into each dc. Rnd 18: Crochet off 2 tog every 6 sts. Rnd 19: 1 dc into each dc.

To make up:
Stuff trunk. Sew all pieces tog as shown in diagram. Embroider the nose in position and insert the whiskers, sew on the eyes, then put on the waistcoat. Attach the key ring between the ears.
