We are the fastest growing vegetarian processed food company in India. Our present turnover is US $ 10 million and growing annually at a rate of 35%. Maiyas Beverages & Foods was founded by Mr. P Sadananda Maiya; the man behind Bangalore's iconic MTR. P. SadanandaMaiya went back to the original family business of running a South Indian vegetarian restaurant in 2008, with his son P. Sudarshan Maiya venturing into the space. Supported by his father, he launched Maiya's restaurant (under Maiyas Beverages and Foods Private Ltd.), which now has two centers in Bengaluru that also sell sweets and savouries. The primary reason to enter the restaurant space was to establish and build a new brand Maiyas. Today, the restaurant ranks as an icon of Bangalore, where today people stand in a queue to gain entrance. He also spent the past few years researching and developing new food technologies, obtaining a PhD from Columbia University (2010) in Nanotechnology and Food Science along the way. As well as establishing a Centre For Food Science & Research in Bangalore aliated to Tumkur University. We have invested over Rs. 70 crore (US $ 15 million) in establishing a completely integrated state of the art of manufacturing facili es spread over an area of 10 acres. And iden ed another 10 acres for the second phase of expansion next year. The plant comprises state of the art equipment including Spiral freezers from Pigo, JBT retorts for the Heat & Eat packs and beverages as well as Taiwanese and Italian machines specially designed to manufacture Indian Foods. We have over 8 decades of Culinary exper se and understand the culinary preferences of people around the world. Today with our capability to develop new products and quickly scale up produc on, we are in a unique posi on to deliver a wide range of vegetarian food tailored to suit any market or requirements. Maiyas por olio of products covers the en re range of processed food - Savouries Snacks, Ready-to-eat, Ready-to-cook, Frozen food (snacks & ready meals) Mixes & Masalas and Beverages. We hold today, strong market posi ons in India within a 18 months of launch. Exports have also begun to Japan, the United States of America, Singapore, The United Arab Emirates, The Sultanate of Oman and Australia. For us, the infusion of such modern methods has only one purpose. The old fashioned passion for Quality.
