PROPOSED PROJECTS 1.

Goal: To let students be aware of the cognitive consequences of their feelings Objectives: Inform the students of the relation of feelings and perception Title of Project: Feeling is Believing Brief Description: This project will explore how our feelings and emotions affect our belief or perception of things. Plan for implementation: A professor or speaker will talk about this. 2. Goal: Make students aware of different stress relieving activties Objectives: To help students cope with the stress of meeting deadlines and studying for their exams. Title of Project: Stress Relief Brief Description: This project will explore ways to relieve stress as what is written in the Psychology Today article (17 Psychology Experts Share Their Best Stress Relief Tips). Plan for implementation: This project will be implemented during the midterm or a week before the final week of the term. The tips would be printed and posted in bulletin boards to help students cope with the stress of meeting deadlines and studying for their exams. 3. Goal: Helping students find the motivation in doing activities Objectives: This project would aid students in finding the motivation that they constantly seek when theyre about to do or when theyre doing an activity. Title of Project: What Motivates You? Brief Description: A talk that would revolve around the self determination theory that was developed by Edward Deci and Richard Ryan. Plan for implementation: A professor would talk about the self-determination theory. 4. Goal: Awareness of how stress affects our brain Objectives: This project will make students aware of how stress really affects our brain Title of Project: Shrinking Brain: How Stress Affects Our Brain Brief Description: A talk that would revolve around how stress affects our brain and eventually suggest activities in lowering an individuals stress level. (see: How To Prevent Stress From Shrinking Your Brain by Dr. Melanie Greenberg) Plan for implementation: A professor, ideally one who teaches Biological Psychology, would talk about the effects of stress in our brain and give suggestions on how one can fight stress. 5. Goal: To promote Environmental Psychology to students. Objectives: For students to consider this field of Psychology after their undergrad studies. Title of Project: Environment and Psychology: Keep it Growing Brief Description: It will be a week of environmental awareness and field understanding.

Plan for implementation: Seminars, chance to join world wildlife Philippines, and socio-civic works like clean-up climbs on chosen mountains and the likes. 6. Goal: Extinguish or at the least lessen the bad habit of cramming. Objectives: Let the students create a way to manage their time effectively. Title of Project: Cramming is a cancer Brief Description: Game play that will test the students capabilities to race with time and make effective decisions. Plan for implementation: It will be like the amazing race with obstacles and challenges, but with a twist. It would not only be played for a day, but for several days; 2-3 at least. Then a seminar will also be conducted.
