Prof. Gottlieb, #VALUE will occur when I open a file (a "master" file) with a function of SUMIF(parameters). The parameters are linked to other files. To get rid of the #VALUE, I have to open the linked files. I need to visit the "master" file everyday and have to open all the linked files. Could you help me get rid of the #VALUE without opening the linked files? Go to the Data Ribbon Click on Edit Links and get rid of the links In Excel 2003, go to Edit Links 0 3.330
