PURPOSE @ OBJECTIVES
1. Knowing how to weld stacking connection, connection kembi T and brazing properly and well. 2. Knowing how to weld stacking, extensions kembi T and brazing the plates 50mm x 100mm x 1.5mm 3. Know the security measures in the course of welding stacking, extensions T and brazing.

INTRODUCTION
Welding is a metal joining process. Two types of metal connectivity means connected between each other. Connectivity can occur by melting or melt the two metals to be joined. EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS

SECURITY MEASURES IN WORKSHOP

Materials must be used in the workshop allowed for lecturers. Do not bring any equipment from the workshop. All workshop equipment can only be used for guidance and direction of the lecturer. Senua apparatus should be cleaned before and after use. The experiment can not be done without the knowledge of the lecturers. Any damage, broken or accidents must be reported immediately to the lecturers or staff who are workshop. Do not play around with all the tools and equipment in the workshop. Workshops should be neat and clean after each use. Any waste in solid form can not be thrown into the sink but must be disposed of in the bins provided. Food and drinks are not allowed into the workshop or room setup.

WORKING PROCEDURES BRAZING (Brazing Weld)


1. Clean the two pieces of mild steel plate measuring 50mm x 100mm x 1.5mm with wire brush. 2. Open the valve of oxygen and acetylene hoses. 3. Adjust flame oxy - acetylene flame to get right the middle flame. 4. Put the two steel plates were cleared on the table with the position of the metal on another metal. To extinguish the flame, release lever cap acetylene valve first, followed by oxygen valve.

DISCUSSION
1. During the process of welding, explosive flame goes out and the response often occurs. 2. Angle when welding blowpipe flame uneven. 3. The speed of the unstable and uneven hand. 4. Rapid fire blowgun nozzle clogging. 5. Metals do not really hot.

CONCLUSION
1. Students can use the flame to suit any welding work on the run. 2. Having undergone several welding process, students acquire a range of knowledge to weld properly and thoroughly. 3. To get good moldings, hand movement should be uniform, proper flame and metal must be clean from rust. 4. Students are able to practice all safety measures while carried out the practical work in the engineering workshop.

SAFETY AND HEALTH


1) Wear a face shield / safety glasses at all times. 2) Obt ain permi ssion bef ore use. 3) Store separately -> Oxygen and Acetylene cylinders. 4) Chained Securely -> Equipment connected to compressed gas cylinders. 5) Store cylinders outdoors in a well ventilated area. 6) Keep caps on any cylinders not having regulators attached to them. 7) Follow specific procedures for turning systems on and off (ten steps listed above). 8) Never expose equipment to oil or grease -> Spontaneous fire possibility. 9) Al ways wear l eat her gloves and an apron. 10) Learn to recognize the odors of combustible fuels. 11) Protect gas cylinder storage areas: Lock in a chain link fence. 12) In case other equipment catches fire, turn off the gas in the tank. 13) Keep all equipment or cylinders that can discharge gas pointed away from everyone and clothing. 14) Never leave clothing where it can be saturated with oxygen or fuel gasses. 15) When connections are opened or cylinders changed, check thoroughly for leaks. 16) Work only in areas that are free from materials that will burn. 17) Do not bump or put pressure on equipment connected to compressed gas cylinders. 18) Never work in an area without a fire extinguisher. 19) Never move a cylinder without a cap. 20) Never leave a cylinder unattended without a cap.
