LESSON PLAN

DATE: the 15th of July GRADE: 1st-3rd NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 15-18 TIME: 45 minutes LESSON: Lets talk AIMS FOR THE TEACHER: To reinforce SSs ability to use the words they know starting with different letters of the alphabet, different parts of the body, family members and to extend SSs vocabulary concerning daily activities. To reinforce SSs ability to ask questions about daily activities. OBJECTIVES: at the end of the lesson SS will be able to: Use the new vocabulary related to different parts of the body, family members and daily activities (get up, have breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, go to school, read, write, play, etc.) Complete some evaluative exercises. LANGUAGE: -VOCABULARY: Words related to different parts of the body, family members and daily activities -FUNCTION: -Asking for/ Giving information about their family members and their daily programme. ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE: SS have already studied the letters of the alphabet, some family members and some activity names. STAGES 1. Warm up

AIMS Activity 1: Aim: To warm SS up

PROCEDURE T greets SS and asks them if they are ready to begin their lesson. SS greet teacher. T says her name and asks SS for theirs. SS say their names. SS are ready to begin the English lesson. T asks SS to say the letters from the alphabet and give examples of words starting with different letters. T gives SS flashcards representing the letters from the alphabet. T and SS sing the alphabet song. T gives SS flashcards containing pictures which display different parts of the body. SS should name the ones they already know and repeat the new ones. T sings a song/songs related to different parts of the body and asks SS to join her. (Head, shoulders, knees and toes/You put your right hand in) T gives SS flashcards containing pictures which display different members of a family. SS should name the ones they already know and repeat the new ones. T recites a poem related to family members and asks SS if they know other poems/songs. T gives SS worksheets containing pictures which display daily activities. SS should name the ones they already know. T repeats each of the activities several times and writes them on the board. SS repeat the activities and write them on their worksheets. T and SS play a miming game in which T says some activities and SS should mime the activities they hear. SS ask questions about their daily programme, using the worksheets and they refer to the moment of the day they perform these activities. T gives SS worksheets and help them read whats in the bubbles and the example. SS should make up sentences.
