Hi,

1. 1. Is that a wired or wireless internet connection? 2. 2. Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

Please follow the methods provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1:

a. Click on Network and Sharing Center. b. Click Manage Network Adapter. c. Click on Properties under "wireless network adapter." d. Click on Wireless tab. e. Click "Add" and type SSID. f. Set network authentication to shared. g. Under Network key box, type the WEP key and then click OK. a) Press the Windows + W key on the keyboard. b) Type troubleshooter in the search box and then pressenter. c) Click Find and fix problems option from the list appeared in the left side. d) Click network and internet and run thenetwork adapter troubleshooter.

If you are using wired connection, I would suggest you to check the issue in safe mode with networking. Method 3: Step 1: Boot the computer in Safe mode with Networking and check if the issue persists. Follow these steps to start the computer in safe mode.

a) Press the Windows + C key on the keyboard. b) Click on settings,more pc settings and then general. c) Scroll down to advanced start-up, clickrestart now. d) Click on troubleshoot,advanced options, Windows Start-up Settings. e) Click restart, selectsafe mode with networking and then press enter.

Note: Restart the computer to start in normal mode.

Step 2: If the issue does not persists in safe mode then perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts. Follow these steps to start the computer in clean boot.

a) Press the Windows + R key on the keyboard. b) In the Run window type MSCONFIG and click Ok. c) Click the Boot tab and uncheck Safe Boot option. d) On the General tab, click to select the option Selective start-up, and then click to clear the optionLoad startup items check box. e) On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then clickDisable all. f) Click OK, and then clickRestart.

Note: After performing the troubleshooting steps in clean boot, follow these stepsto return the computer to Normal start-up mode.

a) Press the Windows + R key on the keyboard. b) In the Run windows type MSCONFIG and click Ok. c) On the General tab, click theNormal Startup option, and then click OK. d) When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.

Method 4: Download and Install the latest network adapter drivers from the manufacturers website and check. You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers. Follow these steps:

a) Press the Windows + W key on the keyboard. b) Type compatibility in the search box and then pressenter. c) Click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows option from the list appeared in the left side. d) Select the drivers and install.
