The cover bears the emblem of this school paper. It symbolizes magnified justice and evident truth behind all issues and concerns laid down in this maiden issue. The Magnifier aims to be a vehicle of truth and a purveyor of issues in fast, forward and reliable manner. The editorial board as well as the staff never swerve any issues. However, the Magnifier never touches sensational concerns and highly personal issues. We hold liable and responsible in the making of this school paper. The Magnifier simply provides a wide vista for the uncertainties of the selected few.

This issue took only a number of days in the making. It has been a grueling period for us since we are on the process of complying all the final requirements in all of our subjects. I and Myka worked this with our butts off from the chair. Nevertheless, we have finally come up this issue into a realization. We are really thanking God that He gives us the knowledge and strength to go through this laborious endeavor. The Magnifier is emanated from the work of our imagination. We are trying in the best of our leadership to include substantial and fair content in this issue to balance and show the different facets concerning college life and social people. Hopefully, you will enjoy what this issue has to offer. So sit back, relax and have an entertaining
read! Rex A. Lim

Clamors are inevitable. Being a learning institution committed to provide quality education, the Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia confronts with a lot of demands from the whole studentry for the development of its facilities as well as paradigm shift in the managerial leadership of the schools administration. It has been a number of years now that the students have observed evident fluctuation of the schools personnel and conspicuous change of the administration every year. The concern goes to the long-term plan to those who are entrenched in the position. How could they have enough development thrusts when they are in power only in a matter of months? We need stable management to implement relevant changes in this institution. With the advent of the new OSA head, we are expecting policies and rules more decorous to promote students advancement to be implemented, but still nothing has changed. It even becomes worst as her leadership wanes caused by her own misdemeanor towards the students. We need viable personality to foster change in the rotten government tactics the management is using. The students are compromised! Even their future is more compromised when the one-manrule system continues to pervade through time. When could they open their minds to realize that education is not all about business? It is about ensuring the future of the students by providing quality services and education system. The quest for development cannot be achieved by them alone. There is a need of a joint effort and synergy to capture the desired changes. This is an enormous challenge for the administration to create a tie between them and the students.
