Mask, Lower-self, Higher-self April 4-6 2008. Mask: The mask, or false self, protects the ego and pretends to be who we are not in order to stay safe. It is constructed out of our fear. The mask tries to be what someone else wants us to be. We feel that if we let go of the mask of the ego, we will die, sowe protect ourselves at all costs. The child first constructed this mask in order to be loved. As a child it was too painful to feel the depth of our pain and we had to survive in our family. The mask that was once a good survival mode in the past, does not let us get what we most desire in the world in the present: to be the real genuine self. To be able to give and receive love. We stay in our distortions. Lower Self: The Lower Self chooses to annihilate the life force rather than feel the pain. The lower self has several aspects. Basically the lower self is our NO! to life. It stops the flow of the life force in us. It is our wound and our primal feelings. It is our protest. The lower self is also our primal negative feelings. We might call it our demonic self because it stops our life force. It is our saboteur. Its out to make us stay stuck and in our No! It uses many of our worst fears to accomplish its goal of no. When aligned with our lower self we are invested in staying in the dark. We are in our distortions. The lower self is also our saboteur. The Saboteur is the aspect of ourselves that wants to keep us stuck, down, miserable and in darkness and distortion no matter what. Higher Self: The Higher Self chooses life -- Embraces the Life Force, knows that love is truth. The Higher self is our YES! To life. It embraces our life flow. It is expansive, creative, flowing and loving. It is The Light. Our Truth. It is our divine nature. From this Higher Self place we can see clearly our mask and our lower self, with compassion. From our higher self we can choose our yes over the no, our life force over the blocking of the life force. We choose love over fear and distortion. Our higher self is our positive observer self, which can see all without judgment and make a choice for love and truth in the highest sense. The higher self is our connection to Love, Harmony, God/Goddess, The Source. Core-Energetics Evolutionary Therapie has developed the model of the Mask, Lower Self and Higher Self to understand ourselves more and to help us and others transform. The aim is to be free and loving people. We offer an introduction workshop based on this model. This workshop could be an opportunity to clarify whether you either want to participate in the 4year training to become a Core Energetic therapist or in the 2 year-program in body psychotherapy which both start in September 2008. Everybody who wants to take part for his/her own personal development is also very welcome. This workshop will be lead by Ioanna Gkizas(Be)and Carlos Avila(Sp) there will also be teachings from Anna Timmermans (NL) Ann Bradney(USA) and Klaus Stinshoff(DE). The workshop will be held in English and begins on April 4th at 15.00h and ends on April 6th at 17.00h and takes place at the Poort, Nijmegen.
