ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the largest and fastestgrowing global professional accountancy body with 404,000 students and 140,000 members in 170 countries. The ACCA qualification is designed to provide the accounting knowledge, skills and professional values which make finance professionals capable of building successful careers across all sectors. There are two examination sessions in June and December each year, and you can sit a maximum of 4 exams per session. The qualification is usually completed within three years. GLOBAL RECOGNITION The ACCA qualification is recognised globally as being the most prestigious qualification in the accountancy profession. Becoming an ACCA member, will provide you with excellent career opportunities in practically any country in the world and will give you the right to use the ACCA designating letters after your name to confirm your professional status. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ACCA offers you various entry points on to the ACCA Qualification, depending on your previous academic qualifications. Minimum Entry Requirements To register for the ACCA Qualification, the only one that grants the ACCA Membership, you should normally hold an university degree. Students that hold a relevant degree from ACCA accredited institutions may be exempt from all 9 exams of the Fundamentals level and start directly at the Professional level. Degrees that are not accredited by ACCA but still have some relevance may also qualify for exemptions. You can also enter ACCA via these routes: Mature Student Entry Route (MSER) MSER is available to students normally aged over 21 with either no academic qualifications or be in the process of obtaining one. They must pass the equivalent of papers F2, Management Accounting and F3, Financial Accounting within two years before further progress through the ACCA qualification is permitted. ACCA entry via Foundations in Accountancy For this entry route an academic qualification is not required. Students should complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business first.

Exemptions
Exemptions are available for the Fundamentals level of the ACCA qualification. We strongly advise you to visit the ACCA website and use their online exemption system to check your individual eligibility.

Fundamentals level
It is divided into two key sets of modules that you must complete in order to pass the Fundamentals level and move onto the Professional level: Knowledge module - three papers that introduce you to the core areas of finance and management accounting and give you a platform to develop your skills at the next level. Skills module - six papers that test you on key technical skills that you must master to become a qualified accountant including Law, Performance Management, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Auditing and Financial Management.

Professional level
The Professional level is the final step towards the ACCA qualification and is equivalent, at an academic level, to a Masters degree, consisting of: Essentials module three compulsory papers that build upon the technical skills you have acquired at the Fundamentals level. They explore advanced professional skills, techniques and values that you will require to be an expert accountant in an advisory or consultancy role at a senior level. Options module you must complete two out of these 4 exams which focus on applying your knowledge and skills in two specific areas of your choice.

BSc in Applied Accounting

It is possible, while preparing for your ACCA exams, to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting awarded by Oxford Brookes University in the UK. You are eligible to undertake the Oxford Brookes BSc project after completion of the Fundamentals level. To obtain your BSc you need to: Complete a Research and Analysis project based on a 6,500 word report on a topic suggested by Oxford Brookes University. BPP ACCA ADMINISTRATION SERVICE

As an ACCA student you will have to fulfil several tasks such as registering for exams and paying your student fees, within the deadlines. BPP is offers you further support backed by our extensive experience in managing ACCA students accounts, through the BPP ACCA Admin Scheme. If you are a BPP student, the admin service is part of you training package. If you wish to benefit from our admin service, but are not a BPP student, the fee is 100 GBP / session. This means that BPP will: Monitor and process your ACCA correspondence Offer support and advice in choosing your exam options Enter you for exams Pay all your relevant fees to ACCA and re-invoice them to you Assist you in any ACCA administrative matters.

COMPUTER BASED EXAMS

BPPs centre in Romania is approved by ACCA to organise and administer CBEs for papers F1, F2, F3. When attempting CBEs, you are not restricted to the paper-based June or December exam sittings but can take exams at any time of the year by arrangement with BPP. ACCA DAY COURSE SCHEDULE

An ACCA day course starts at 9 a.m. and finishes at 4:30 p.m. Every day the ACCA students must mark the attendance at the reception desk, starting with 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. There will be two coffee breaks each of 15 minutes, one at 10:45 a.m. and the other at 2:45 p.m. The lunch break will be between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

PASS ASSURANCE
If you attended a full/ intensive course, sat the mock exam achieving at least 30% score but were unsuccessful in the December 10 exam, as part of the BPP commitment to you, you have the chance to attend a revision course free of charge ahead of the next sitting.

Dorina is specialised in Financial and Management Accounting areas. Cristina Gutu successfully delivers open, tailored and ACCA courses in financial accounting and auditing line of business. Cristina is an ACCA member and also a member of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors (CAFR) and of the Romanian Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants (CECCAR). Otilia Mantelers is ACCA qualified teaching for various tailored programmes, public courses as well as for different international professional qualifications, such as ACCA, DipIFR and DipFM and she also specialises in Financial Reporting.

Madalina Ion is specialised in the audit of banks and other financial institutions. She is ACCA qualified, member of the Romanian Chamber of Auditors (CAFR), Body of Experts and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR) and holds a master degree in Applied Microeconomics.

Juan Gamecho graduated from the Cardiff Business School before beginning a career in investment banking in the City of London. In 1999 he joined the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development in Romania. Juan has been working with BPP for a number of years and specialises in management strategy.

Simon Emery joined BPP in 1989 specialising in Financial Reporting and Auditing subjects teaching across all major worldwide accountancy qualifications including ACCA. Simon was Head of UK Regional offices between 2002-2009.

Mike Turner joined BPP International in Romania in 1997. He holds a US CPA qualification from Los Angeles. He became Managing Director of BPP Hungary in 2005. Since 2008 Mike has been teaching courses on U.S. GAAP and international public accounting standards to NATO as a freelance lecturer. Tom Delaney has extensive experience of more than 20 years as a senior finance professional gained in large companies. Toms specialties are financial strategy and financial control, cost management and business efficiency, business and financial planning, business restructuring, turnaround and change management

Richard Gibbon is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) having qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manchester, UK. As a tutor, Richard specialises in financial management, management accounting and international financial reporting.
