The Son of Man is Jesus Christ An examination of the significance and implications of His Humanity in contrast to His Deity

and why it is essential to understand it.

I'd like to talk about the subject of the difference between the humanity and deity of Jesus Christ. I want to make it clear where I am coming from to you, and what we "Oneness" see in the scriptures concerning this subject. Trinitarians get tripped up because they see the humanity of Jesus, and say- "separate Persons in the Godhead." Admittedly, when one is looking through carnal eyes, as we were all born with, that is an easy stone to stumble at! 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: Now I know full well that Trinitarians "say" they believe in the humanity of Jesus Christ. But, we may ask, if they believe in the humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, why do they always, in every instance, point to the humanity of Christ and say- "Separate Persons in the Godhead"? Has God become a man, contrary to His word? Numbers 23:19 God is not a man 1 Samuel 15:29 And also the Strength of Israel he is not a man... So we see, that there is much more going on with the humanity, and deity of Jesus Christ than meets the carnal, and theTrinitarian, eye Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. They "say" they believe in the humanity of Jesus with their lips, but in their hearts, they deny this, because they turn around and, seeing the humanity, say- here are "separate persons in the Godhead." So let us step across that stumblingblock- which first tripped the Jews, (who couldn't accept that God could come in the form of a man), and also the Gentiles, (who likewise, in their way, cannot yet comprehend that it wasn't a "separate person" who came to us, but the Lord God our Father Himself who robed Himself in flesh, and made Himself manifest unto us!) What I want to share with you is some things I have learned about this temple, the body, the humanity of Jesus, whom really was the fulfillment of the prophesy taught in the similitude of Solomon's temple, and the implications on our salvation. 1 Kings 8:17 It was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. 18 And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. 19 Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house;

but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name 27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: 29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. Revelations 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. This is the manner in which we find Jesus in the prophetic scriptures, in respect to His humanity, being made a temple unto the name of the Lord our God. A temple in which God the Father Himself, though yet invisible to our carnal eyes, may manifest His name unto us through the life of this man 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that HE (still speaking of the Father here!) was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. In contrast to the Trinitarian view, we "Oneness" or as I like to call it- "God is one/Christ is all" look at the humanity of Jesus and say- "Our Example"! John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. It is very important for us to understand, and not get confused by the fact, that Jesus is absolutely fully both true humanity and deity, and spoke as either/or. Jesus had a full and complete human makeup, including a human soulActs 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Here we see humanity and deity in fusion, so to speak. Or, to put it more aptly, as the scripture doesColossians 2:9 For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, Colossians3:11 Christ is all, and in all. Deity cannot actually "descend" into hell, for God fills heaven and earth. The hard thing for carnal minds to understand is that He (that soul) who descended is not a "separate person" in the "Godhead," from He who "fills heaven and earth," but was the humanity of Jesus Christ, that "soul" which was born of a woman, of the seed of Abraham Romans 9:4 Israelites 5 are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. The key to tell which way Jesus was speaking while He was on earth, as God or man, is simply in the context of what He was saying. For example, an excerpt from The Commandments of God and the Traditions of Men bible study: Question # 9.5 - If the Father and Son are not separate persons why did Jesus pray to the Father as He did in several places, for example in Matthew 26:36-39 "Then cometh Jesus unto a place called Gethsemane...and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me..."?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us..." -John 1:1,14. "...As concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen" -Romans 9:5. "O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come" -Psalm 65:2. "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill" -Matthew 5:17. "For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done..." -John 13:15. "And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me" -Luke 9:23. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who...made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death..." -Philippians 2:5-8. "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow..." -1 Peter 2:21. God does not need to "pray" to God. Jesus did these things for our example. Being truly, and fully human, there is no contradiction to have the Son, revealing, exposing, and exercising His humanity, by praying to deity (the One God the Father) for our sakes, and for our example. There simply was no other way for Jesus to have been an example for us, and at the same time, to obey the command that "unto thee shall all flesh come." If Jesus was "God the Son" and thereby had to pray, then He simply was not God Almighty. There simply was no other way for Jesus to manifest "the life" without living the life, as a human, before us. 1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) God the Father could not "manifest" that life, outside of having that life be seen. For God cannot be seenJohn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Therefore again we have evidence of the humanity (seen) and divinity (invisibility) of Jesus Christ1 Timothy 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and (Israel's) redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Although Jesus was GodJohn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. He was also humanRomans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; Therefore being unique among all created and non-created beings, Jesus was at the same time both God and manRomans 9:4 ...Israelites... 5 ...are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Jesus could speak either from his human soul as a man-

John 14:28 ...my Father is greater than I. John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Or Jesus could speak as God Almighty HimselfJohn 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Therefore, we simply must take heed as to the context of whom He is speaking, when He speaks. Jesus Himself testified to us, that that which was deity about Him, was none other than God the Father Himself, therefore denying "co-equality of persons"... John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Look carefully at this passage in context, for there is no "co-equality of persons" going on here... "he that hath seen me" (Humanity- since no man can see God) "hath seen the Father" ("God manifest in the flesh" "for in Christ dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily" "the head of Christ is God"). "the Father (God) that dwelleth in me (He spake of the temple of His body John 2:21), he doeth the works" This is clearly humanity speaking, not deity. He said He was seen. He said the Father dwelled in Him (one "Spirit" cannot "dwell" within another) hence reference to the temple of His body- humanity. He said the Father does the works. In another place He goes so far as to say He can do nothing of Himself- John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself , but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. If this is "God the Son" as Trinitarians would have people believe, then Jesus is a mere demi/semi-god. Trinitarians have compromised the deity of Jesus Christ. We who believe Christ is all, however, see this as humanity in submission to deity, and yet "one and the selfsame" (1 Cor 12:11). We know the scripture has settled the fact that God is not a man, and that God is one. Man is not God, and God is not man. Somewhat similarly to the fact that our soul is not our flesh, and our flesh is not our soul, for they are different substances, yet they make up the one individual "body". 1 Cor inthians12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. In the same way Jesus Himself testifies to us that He and the Father are one and the selfsame, in His way, Jesus tells us, He is both humanity and deity... Revelations 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David... Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. 43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, 44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? 45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? In that it is written "The Lord said unto my Lord" again we have inequality, not "co-equality." If they are co-equal, the Son could not possibly be any less capable of putting enemies under His or anyone else's feet than the Father. We don't have it written that the Son "co-equally" says to the Father "And you sit at my feet

also, while I make YOUR enemies thy footstool as well." (Would this not amount to blasphemy to make such a claim? So where is co-equality?) Therefore- definitely not, "equality"- but much the rather, glaring inequality, having one openly and willingly in submission to the other. Specifically- humanity in submission to deity. Who was the "root" of David? Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and (ye are) my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. 13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? 14 Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. 15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Jesus also testified that the Jews did know who their God was: John 4:22 ...we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. The importance of this fact is that, being fully human, in His humanity, he was fully capable not only of being tempted, but He was actually "capable" of sinning, just as we... Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. That is a very important point- "tempted like as we are, yet without sin." "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" Here is another major stumblingblock of Trinitarianism, and how it breeds false doctrines. "tempted like as we are, yet without sin." If this were "God the Son" then again, Trinitarians have made Jesus out to be less than God. James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: It clearly then, was not a "separate person of the Godhead" who was tempted, but simply the humanity of Jesus Christ James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. And Jesus the man was tempted Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Thank God He never gave in to temptation! Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;

but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. We see it is not a sin to be "enticed," however, it is a sin to give in to the enticement James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. If Jesus truly were "God the Son" (meaning a separate person of Godhead) He could never have truly been tempted. If Jesus had not truly been tempted, and had not overcome true temptations, God would never be able to judge the world in righteousness. For who could be judged against that which could never be accomplished? John 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. 23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. Therefore, to say as they do, that Jesus is "God the Son" and a "Separate Person in the Godhead," this is actually to make a mockery of Christ's temptations, and to make null and void God's power of judgment over the sins of the world! Thank God for the revelation of the knowledge of the Son of man, amen? And yet there is more. Even as I Also Overcame After being fully established in the fact of the true, full, and complete humanity, not just the true deity, of Jesus Christ, we come to the next point in our understanding of Christ- that of the impact on us of His ability to overcome sin. He did not sin, and that seems absolutely impossibly miraculous to some. Because not a one of us can make that claimRomans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; That is, until the man Jesus Christ! Hebrews 4:14 Jesus the Son of God... 15 was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. "tempted like as we are" Not "tempted, but above temptation," as of God whom cannot be tempted. But tempted like as we are. Therefore, tempted as to His humanity, not deity. Furthermore, it is not simply the "flesh" that is tempted, for after the soul of the flesh leaves the flesh, the flesh sins no more! Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Therefore, it was the human soul of Jesus that was tempted, and that knew no sin. Matthew 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. 39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Here we see that the human soul of Jesus, was not "one in purpose" with God the Father. Here we see that the Son submitted His human will, to the will of deity. This is not an example of "co-equality," for if they were co-equal, one would not always be the only one submitting to the other. This is not "unity of wills," either, for one will is always denied for the sake of the greater. This is merely our example- acted out in the life of Jesus, of humanity, in submission to deity Mark 8:34 he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life (psuche - soul) for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if

he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (psuche - soul) For Jesus had a truly human soul Acts 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. And in fact, it was the human soul of Jesus that suffered and died on that cross Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life (psuche- soul) a ransom for many. 1 Cor 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Now knowing what exactly was tempted, we know likewise what overcame Hebrews 4:14 Jesus the Son of God... 15 was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. And this human victory over sin now has great import, and implication on the souls of man John 16:33 be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives (psuche- soul) unto the death. Knowing this, again we see ever more error brought upon the hearts of man in that doctrine that Jesus was "God the Son." For if Jesus were truly God the Son, He would not have truly "overcome" the world, for He could not have been truly tempted by the world. If He were "God the Son," He therefore would not have been tempted as we, and then we also would not truly have to overcome the world. And those are the real issues that those Trinitarians must conceal about the dark workings of their doctrines, though they may confess differently with their lips, the heart of the matter tells the heart of their souls. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. For if men can be made to think, that Jesus, in deity, and not just in humanity only, was tempted and overcame the world, then the holiness that was required of the Son of man, can be compromised and made unnecessary among them, for not a one of us was born the Son of God by a virgin. And for this reason they have come to the conclusion, contrary to all scriptural commandments and righteousness of God, to their beliefs, first that man cannot live without sinning, and secondly, that man can be saved without the essential workings of holiness. In this they do truly side with the master of deceiversGenesis 3:1 Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Yea, hath God said Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Yea, hath God said 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Yea, hath God said 2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: Romans 6:2 How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. The implication in the doctrine of "God the Son" is to take away the necessity of the workings of the same Spirit of God that dwelled in Jesus, that now dwells in us. The implication in the doctrine of "God the Son" is that we can somehow be saved without being holy, as HE was holy, for in such a case we could never truly be as He, even as to His humanity. 2 Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. Can the Son of man be more slandered? Can His true victory over sin be made less glorious? Is the power of His blood and His life so weak that it does not give power to overcome sin like as He? This is what happens when they elevate the humanity of Jesus to the status of being a "separate person" from God the Father that dwelled in the man. They make a mockery of His humanity overcoming the temptation to sin. They make a mockery of the necessity of our overcoming temptation, even as He was tempted. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Revelations 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelations3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. If He which overcame is "God the Son a separate person with God the Father", and He expects us to overome "even as He also overcame" that we may gain eternal life, what hope have we?

But if he which overcame was fully human, and was tempted just like as we, yet overcame- much the more rather then- what hope we do have.
