All the holy Fathers agree that after the death of antichrist the whole world will

be converted, and although some of them assert that the world will last but a few days
after his death, while others say a few months, some authorities insist that it will continue
to exist many years after. St. Catherine of Sienna, St. Vincent Ferrer, St. Francis of
Paula, and a number of other saints have predicted this ultimate universal conversion. 1

It is always darkest before the dawn. This saying may have been inspired by
several private prophecies about these very times. Of course, we do not live our lives by
prophecy, but by the Word of God, the truths of the Divine and Catholic Faith. And
nothing is attacked more in these days that these very truths of the Divine and Catholic
Faith. And this attack comes not only from without, but from those who we thought were
with us, as the last year has demonstrated.
Last November We wrote a piece on hope, and would like to remind everyone of
some of these things. We reviewed this and would like to begin a series of short
instructions inspired by Our thoughts on this and other things.
Fr. Leonard Goffine gives us some advice on when we should make the Acts of
Faith, Hope and Charity: As soon as we come to the use of reason and are sufficiently
instructed concerning this virtue and its motives; in time of trouble or of severe
temptation against this virtue; when receiving the holy Sacraments; every morning and
evening, and especially at the hour of death. 2 And soon We will address a short
instruction on each of these three acts, as well as the Act of Contrition. My friends the
Faith is actually quite simple, if we only apply our minds, our hearts and our souls to
understand these simple truths. It is The Enemy, who makes everything difficult and
convoluted in order to destroy souls. 3

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, that you present your
bodies a, living sacrifice, holy, pleasing unto God your reasonable service. And be not
conformed to this world: but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may
prove what is the good and the acceptable and the perfect will of God. 4

There are two cities, to use Saint Augustine’s division; the City of God and the
City of Satan. Each operates by its own rules and they are opposed to each other. It is
impossible to live in both cities at once. We either live in the City of God or the City of
Satan. The City of God is Jesus Christ’s Church here on earth, which is preparing us to
move from here to our home in heaven. The City of Satan promises heaven on earth,
while preparing its citizens for eternal misery. Being operated by the Father of Lies, this
latter end of its citizens is never revealed. No, like true politicians 5, they merely tell the
people what they want to hear and never warn them of the disaster they are creating for
the population.

In the modern sense of the word. There are certainly a few who may be honestly seeking the common
good, but We believe this is rare today.

However, We have digressed. It is Our duty as the Bishop of Rome, which makes
Us the Successor of Saint Peter and the Vicar of our Lord Jesus Christ, to lead the City of
God and all of its inhabitants to eternal happiness in heaven. This is the mission of Jesus
Christ and the mission He committed to the Apostles and their successors to the end of
time.
We are certain, that everyone reading this can obtain heaven if only you will do
the Will of God. Heaven is not our right, but must be earned as all good things must be
earned. We are not entitled to heaven. No, entitlement is a maxim of the City of Satan,
which reminds everyone of their rights while letting them ignore their duties. The road to
heaven is the road of daily duty.

Before continuing, let Us recommend all get organized. Prior to Our trip to
Colorado last September, We assembled notebooks and sent them to a number of people.
We further published their contents to the internet as the basis of a much neglected
section on sanctification at Our website. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: 6
My friends, this is what it is all about.
We have often written and preached in the past on the absolute necessity of
spiritual reading for everyone who wants to obtain Heaven in these days. If we have a
choice between eating breakfast and taking time for spiritual reading, then breakfast must
be set aside. This is how important this daily practice is.
It was recently asserted that We have not done sufficient study in the area of
Ascetical Theology. Theology is divided into several areas, Dogmatic, Moral and
Ascetical. Dogmatic Theology deals with what we must believe. Moral Theology deals
with how we must live in order to avoid sin, and therefore prescribes the bare minimums
for salvation. Ascetical Theology directs us how to obtain Heaven, which means the
obtaining of virtue.
When an important question arises, We do not merely dismiss it. Instead, We
began gathering every book that We had read on Ascetical Theology and making a list.
We soon passed forty books, and the list has grown slightly since then. Is this enough?
We do not believe so, because We can still read. Do We plan on setting aside spiritual
reading. Perish the thought. In fact, We ask whoever attends Our death bed to read from
spiritual books to Us, so that We can continue to imbibe their precious words and take
them to heart at that most important moment in Our life.
There are many other things We could say now, but let Us proceed to the main
point of this letter.

Peter therefore was kept in prison. But prayer was made without ceasing by the
church unto God for him. 7

We have read of the power of the Church, when it prays and fasts together for
some intention. In considering a basic question: What is a Catholic? We have thought on
the marks of a Catholic. 8 One of these marks is that Catholics do penance. Catholics
fast and pray.

But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and
then they shall fast. 9 My friends, as We have observed before, the Bridegroom, our Lord
Jesus Christ has been taken away from us as the Holy Fathers of the Church universally
hold. And yet, do we fast as we ought? Do we mourn this loss. Indeed, can we truly
comprehend this loss? Most of us have probably never even been to Holy Communion,
and those who have were not taught how to properly prepare for such a Great Sacrament!
This can be demonstrated by instructions from Saint Francis de Sales, which We placed
in the notebooks.
In studying the fasts of the Church and their origin, We have discovered some
interesting things, which We will present in the future. Originally Christians went to the
celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Sunday, usually starting the evening
before and praying through the night. Also they fasted on Friday in commemoration of
the Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on that Friday, which will ever be called good.
And fasting is not as we know it today. Fasting meant, that if they were able they ate
NOTHING. Many have decried the laxity of the laws of fast today, but we are weak and
cannot bear the original fast laws. Later on the fast of Friday commenced at midnight
and proceeded until three in the afternoon, when it ended.
Taking the words above, the original fast of Lent may have been from three pm
on Good Friday until after Mass on Easter Sunday, commemorating the literal fulfillment
of this between the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection, and yes, they
FASTED COMPLETELY.
We are proposing a simpler kind of voluntary fast by all Catholics to be added to
those commanded by the Laws of the Church. Sanctify a fast. 10 We propose that a fast
commence on the Friday before the First Saturday of each month at midnight and
continue until after the time Mass would be celebrated on Saturday. On the First Friday,
set aside all the worldly distractions that can be set aside without neglecting duty.
Therefore such voluntary distractions as television and radio should be abstained from
completely. Sometime during the day make a Holy Hour for the Restoration of the Mass.
Give oneself selflessly to your families in perfect and exact fulfillment of your duties. 11
And let us observe the First Saturday devotion recommended at Fatima in so far
as we are able. Indeed, let us make this a monthly practice, not just one for five months,
until we can complete the practice exactly as requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary. This
is why we prepare for a Solemn Spiritual Communion that Saint Francis de Sales would
recommend. He recommends retiring earlier and focusing our thoughts on the
Communion we will receive the next day. True, he is giving advice for actual
Communion, but such a preparation will be fruitful today, when the Bridegroom has been
taken away from us. On the MORNING of the First Saturday, act as if you were going to
Mass and Holy Communion that morning. For the First Saturday, you would likely have
made your confession the day before, so make an examination of conscience and Perfect
Act of Contrition in your First Friday Holy Hour. On the morning, of course, you would
fast as you would for Holy Communion and proceed early to the Solemn Spiritual
Communion, followed by fifteen minutes meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary,
followed by a third part of the Rosary recited. And this should not be delayed until the

evening, unless duty absolutely requires it. It would be better to get up at five for these
practices and go to work at six, than to get up at six, work all day, and then half-heartedly
perform these practices observing a minimal Eucharistic Fast.
He will give his heart to resort early to the Lord that made him, and he will pray
in the sight of the most High. He will open his mouth in prayer, and will make
supplication for his sins. 12
And so let Us summarize the fast We are requesting the Church voluntarily make
before First Saturday. It commences at midnight on the Thursday evening before and
consists of a removal of all worldly distractions that are possible as well as at least the
basic fast of the Church. On the Friday, which is often the First Friday, also make a Holy
Hour for the Restoration of the Mass. On the First Saturday, arise early and proceed, as if
you were going to Mass to receive the First Saturday Holy Communion. Follow this with
fifteen minutes of meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary and follow that with the
recitation of a third part of the Rosary. Sometime on one of these days make a thorough
examination of conscience and a Perfect Act of Contrition to replace the Confession
requested. The fast ends after the Solemn Spiritual Communion on First Saturday
morning.
Mark your calendars, as indicated below to remind yourself to fast and pray.
Thursday, August 2 for First Saturday August 4
Thursday, August 30 for First Saturday, September 1
Thursday, October 4 for First Saturday, October 6
Thursday, November 1, which is also a Holyday of Obligation, for First Saturday,
November 3.
Thursday, November 29 for First Saturday, December 1.
Thursday, January 3 for First Saturday January 5, 2008.
On the Ember Week of September, We would recommend this fast for the three
Ember Days. (September 19, 21 and 22) Observe the Fast as described above on Ember
Friday, September 21, however, continue it into Ember Saturday. The intention on
Ember Days is that God may provide us with good and holy priests, since Ember
Saturdays are the ordinary time for ordinations.
On the Ember Week of December, We would recommend this fast for the three
Ember Days. (December 19, 21 and 22) Observe the Fast as described above on Ember
Friday, December 21, however, continue it into Ember Saturday. The Ember Saturday in
ancient times was the ordinary day for ordinations in Rome by the Pope. You will read
of a Pope holding several December ordinations.
