Mission Shaped Ministry Course

We are starting a year long course on 11th May, looking at how we can be more effective in Mission. We will be having some great people teaching on it, including Bishop Graham Cray and Bob & Mary Hopkins. If you are interested, then chat with Sue Bosley, Nigel Elderkin or Jean Grima who have all been on it, and can recommend it. Pick up a leaflet at the welcome desk. It would be great to have a good team from Springfield on it. ~~~~ The MSM course is: 'God led learning - a place to push boundaries, to adventure with God with permission to explore, challenge question and take risks' The three elements of the course are: Preparing, Forming and Sustaining a Fresh Expression of church It includes modules such as looking at the context for mission, listening to God's mission and call, strategies for mission,, building a team, listening to and engaging with the community

Springfield AGM
Our AGM is next Sunday, 28th April @ 10.30 am Its a chance for us to look at all that is going on and celebrate what God is up to. At our AGM on April 28th, there will be vacancies on our church council, on the deanery Synod and for church wardens: which are open to all who are on the electoral roll. Please prayerfully consider whether you could serve by standing for one of these posts: do talk with Will or current members, then get your nomination on the forms at the welcome desk There are copies of all the AGM reports, with part of the finance report for you to collect and read available in the foyer: If you prefer, there are a few full copies of the finance reports printed out, or you can access them online.

Space Academy
Very sadly and reluctantly, we are having to cancel our Holiday Club this year. Many, for very good reasons, cant help this year and as a result we are nowhere near having enough leaders. We felt that we didnt want to put on a holiday club that wasnt up to our normal standards and so we have taken the difficult decision to cancel.
