Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Varicon has production sites in Greenville and Simpsonville, South Carolina as well as in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to new and reconditioned IBCs, totes and plastic drums, Varicon provides a variety of container management services. From asset reconditioning and container tracking, to 48-hour IBC and drum retrieval, Varicon has the solution to meet your operations needs.

Asset reconditioning
For those clients who own their own asset totes, Varicon offers container cleaning services driven by state-of-the-art processes and equipment. Varicon can clean empty containers that held a wide range of ladings.

Container tracking services

Now more than ever, the ability to track shipments of high-value chemical products from the point of ll to the point of use is critical for the industrial container industry. Through Varicon, the Micro-Tracker barcode and RFIDcapable Industrial Container Tracking System (ICTS) is now available for use on a global basis. Gain access to information within the ICTS 24 hours a day via a secure, 128-bit encrypted website.

Retrieval services
As part of our services solution, Varicon offers complimentary retrieval services. We will pick up empty drums, totes and IBCs within 48 hours of your request. Either request pickup through our simple online form or via the toll-free number, 1.888.919.1700.

Our triple-wash process ensures that plastic drums are immaculately clean before they are recycled or ground for use in the EcoGrindTM process.

Varicon offers our customers a range of options in IBCs, totes and plastic drums. You can even choose between new and reconditioned containers and our exclusive DuraCycle IBC.

New & reconditioned IBCs

We offer a range of options in IBCs and totes, including the choice of reconditioned containers and those with new bottles manufactured from virgin resin. New, 275-gallon IBC bottles from Varicon are made from high-density polyethylene and are available with either quick-disconnect valves (cam-lock) or Natural Pipe Thread (NPT) valves. Our reconditioned IBCs and totes are available in either closure type and come in a variety of sizes and pallet materials.

Virgin-lined IBCs
The DuraCycle IBC features a patented liner and is available for any IBC and tote manufactured today. Manufactured and installed by Varicon, the form-tting liner will not collapse or impede discharge while providing its container with all virgin contact surfaces and new bottle quality, without the new bottle cost. Each DuraCycle IBC liner features strong seams created by our revolutionary weld methods, and comes available in three lm options (anti-static, FDA, UV-resistant).

New & reconditioned plastic drums

Our plastic drums are made from 100% virgin resin or We also offer cages and bottles to t your specications, as well as combination packages manufactured from FDA-approved materials. from 100% post-industrial regrind. All Varicon openhead drums are manufactured from earth-friendly EcoGrind, which converts post-industrial, high-density polyethylene scrap into a lower-cost alternative to virgin resin. Each open-head drum also incorporates an integrated foot ring, providing both stability and handholds.

The Varicon Solutions System

1. Filler
New, lined and/or reconditioned containers are filled and shipped to end users for use.

Through reconditioning, the Varicon Solutions System reduces the need for newly manufactured containers. Designed with the enviroment in mind, the system promotes recycling and reduces landfill waste. Ultimately, the system provides savings and greater value to the customer.

2. End User
The end user dispenses the product and contacts Varicon for pickup.

3. Varicon
We pick up the container and responsibly recondition it to be certified for use. Once a container has reached the end of its lifecycle, the materials are cleaned and recycled into EcoGrindTM and placed back into the container manufacturing process.
