Ground-leve! maintenance for high-level lighting"

Duling the past few years, high mount liqhting has !.r'o$n 10 thc point that it is nou the piefelred method of Iighting large outdoor aleas. Unfortunately, as high-mount lightine became mole sophisticated, maintenance techniques did not. The originurl maintenance concept \\as to utilize service elelators, pole steps. bucket trucks and the like. But too often, trucks and special rigs could not maneuver' \\hele high mount poles were lociLtcd, and eler, ators anc'l pole steps plesented their o$n probiems. The industly then turned its elTolts to sclf contained raise-lorvei' devices to bling luminaires down to the giound instead of sending a man up. The concept \r'as sound. Howelei', thc difficulty iay in deleloping a device that \ras completelv dependable. Now Holophane has designed a io*ering system *-ith total reliability. By engineeling out many of the complex and costly mechanisms inherent in conventional Jorveiing devices - mechanisms that requile their orvn maintenance - Holophane can now dclivel a lorveling sys tem that is problem free as proven in actuiil use.
A COMPLETE, SELF.CONTAINED SYSTEM, The Holophane HIIS Lo\YERING SysrraM $'ill safely lower a large ring of up to 10 luminaires from the top of a high-mouni pole dorvn to within 3'of the ground. In addition, the system provides r safe and leliable method of automaticaily securing the ring to thc top of the pole and of electricalll'energizing the luminaires. The complete system consists of a head frame assembly which is ligidly attached to the top of the pole: a lurninaire ring assembly on $'hich the luminaires are mounted: and winch and circuit breaker assemblies *-hich are instailed into the base of the pole. A portable po\\,er unit, remotely conlrolled, activates the rajsing and lowering of the luminaire ring assembly.
