According to the terms of the ADEPT Performance Standards, my professional strengths are facilitating student achievement by establishing appropriate long range learning goals by identifying the instructional, assessment, and management strategies necessary to help all students progress (APS 1). I have also found strength in facilitating student achievement by assessing and analyzing student performance (APS 3), providing accurate content for learners (APS 6), and maintaining professional responsibilities (APS 10). I have built on these strengths by preparing an effective long range plan to meet the needs and interest of my students, I constantly reflect on assessments as well as create various valid and reliable assessments by testing information that is taught, I provide and possess thorough knowledge and understanding by translating and projecting accurate information, and I am dedicated and responsible in contributing to school functions such as awards programs and field trips as a learning member of the profession. I plan to maintain these professional strengths by staying on task and improving in each and every way that I can as a student teacher. In addition, I have also established high expectations within the classroom (APS 4). I have done such by stating state standards, displaying an agenda that includes the activities within the lesson, and stating the purpose and relevance of lessons. This APS standard is very imperative because it informs students on what is to be expected and prepare students for various lessons and activities within the lesson. This standard also plays an integral part in informing visitors about what takes place during the lessons and inside of the classroom.

I would say that my students overall progress and achievement is good, however; there is always room for improvement! I have gained insight on providing accurate content, using various strategies to help guide students, and using questioning to help guide students to reason. I have also learned various teaching strategies to reach students in my classroom. In addition, I have learned classroom management techniques to make sure my students stay on task.
