Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.

~Zig Ziglar A man may fall many times, but he won't be a failure until he says that someone pushed him. ~ Elmer G. Letterman Failure is the tuition you pay for success. ~ Walter Brunell To be wrong is nothing unless you continue to remember it~ Confucius Often times what we call failure is only a challenge of life and the best way to deal with a challenge is not to react to it but rather to face and respond to it. Some people prefer to pretend that nothing is happening, or indolently declare that "God will do it" rather than face the challenge of failure. Failure is failure and no amount of time can change it to success until you consciously take the necessary steps to change it. As a matter of fact, the longer failure remains unattended to, the more difficult it becomes to handle. So the earlier you face and deal with it, the better. So how do you deal with failure? "Your attitude towards failure determines your altitude after failure." ~ John C. Maxwell. Your perspective of what the world calls failure is what determines your response and reaction to it, and that in turn determines your outcome when you find yourself in such situation. Failure never leaves you the same way, it will either leave you flat on the ground or become a stepping stone to your greatness depending on your perspective and attitude. Failure is only and event and like every event it has a short life span, it is not meant to last forever. No matter how long you have failed, you are bound to outlive it. So let failure pass instead of allowing you happiness and success to pass with it. Do not embrace failure it is only an experience. When you fail, occupy your mind most on the lesson not on what you have lost or failed to achieve. If you make most use of your experience you will soon recover what you have lost or succeed in whatever you failed to achieve. This is not to say there is justification in failure but failure do occur and we all have to get over it or it will get over us.

If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down. ~Mary Pickford Friends never feel shame for trying and failing for he who has never failed is he who has never tried anything. "Successful people are ex-losers who got mad with failure." "Rejoice not over me my enemies for when I fall I shall rise again." (Micah 7:8 Bible). Good morning and welcome to the second part of "What to do with failure". Previously we were reminded by John C Maxwell that ""Your attitude towards failure determines your altitude after failure." You must approach failure with a right attitude, when you begin to ask questions like "WHY ME?" You are reacting and that is a negative attitude, which produces negative action and complicates things instead of generating solutions. You must understand that the reason challenges come your way is because you have what it takes to handle them. When you react, you become confused, resentful and ultimately, frustrated. Those who react to situations easily get angry and begin to play the role of a Victim and you know "Victims never wins, they never win". Victims like the blame game, they blame the economy, they blame the government, they blame the stock market, they blame their broker, they blame their type of business, they blame their employer, they blame their manager, they blame the head office, they blame their up-line or their down-line, they blame customer services, they blame their partner, they blame their spouse, they blame their parents and they even blame God. It's always someone else or something else that is to blame and that is the reason they remain lame. "If It's Going to Be, It's Up to Me" The best way to handle failure is to RESPOND to it, look out for lessons to learn and gain the experience, know why it did not work, what you missed. Seek out the relevant information that was lacking initially in you, expose yourself to more knowledge and above all keep asking questions.

"Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find" Finding is reserve for those who seek, don't sit down and wait for things to change, things will never change unless you change them, problems don't get solved because you decided to overlook them and do nothing.... and please don't wait for God's time, everyday is God's time, everyday is the right time to begin again more intelligently. Begin by asking "What am I not doing that I ought to do?" What can I do to rectify this situation and avoid a reoccurrence?" "What additional knowledge do I need to handle this situation" "Who do I know have the best experience to advice me on this situation?" Other people have failed and overcome their failure, countless of them are around you and I can assure you that they are willing to assist you in solving your problem. I know you have successfully people around you, talk to them. Don't see that as just a source of financial help, they are banks of knowledge and experience. They are more willing to share knowledge with you than to give you money.. why because they understand that money is the fruit of knowledge. Go for the seed not the fruit. In closing remember what the Ancient book (the bible) reminded us "There isn't any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps his promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. But when you are tempted, he will also give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape." "There is nothing coming from above that scares the ground" "There is nothing the eyes will see that will make it shed blood" You have the seed of greatness in You. "Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough"
