Style and Form (25%) EXEMPLARY [ ] The essay is free of grammatical errors. [ ] The essay is free of spelling errors. [ ] The prose flows well and is easy to understand. [ ] The essay has a thesis statement that addresses the question asked in the assignment. [ ] The essay has a thesis statement that is clear and compelling. COMPETENT [ ] The essay has several minor grammatical errors. [ ] The essay has several minor spelling errors. [ ] Several choppy paragraphs that are difficult to follow. [ ] The essay has a thesis statement that is marginally related to the question asked in the assignment. [ ] The essay has a thesis statement that fails to make a clear claim.
