and finish with blade to target. Stick handling: Ready position, Head up. Movement of stick: blade moves parallel with your feet. Rotation toward puck about 45 degree angle. Cup the puck pushing it backward and forward. Roll the wrist towards the puck to catch it. In groups students will dribble the puck down past the partner and around them and back up when start line is reached pas back to the partner. The dribbler will switch places with the receiver. The receiver will then dribble back to the start line to restart drill. Then in groups of 6 we can do a relay to push speed and accuracy. Student cannot transition until students pass the start line. Once every student is finished they must be in hockey ready stance as a group. In groups of 6 students, one of the students in the middle of the circle to try to block the pass. The 5 other students will pass around the student in the middle. When the student blocks the pass they will switch with the student that made the pass. Two teams will play hockey groups of 6 will play in the court the others will play in the out of bounds area. Every 5 minutes student will switch from in court to side lines. Students will play with no goalie and there will be no out of bounds if students have puck go out of bounds then side line players will re-enter the puck in to play. Penalties will be called for a loss of possession for minor and for major will have a 1 minute ejection.

Lesson Modifications (Illness and/or Students with Disabilities) (5 pts) If I have a student with a disability I can use a larger puck or a ball instead of the normal size. Depending in the severity of the students disability I can find a stick with a larger blade and shaft to allow them to have a better grip and sweet spot. Assessment Methods (5 pts) Students will be assessed by: Wearing full proper P.E. attire, participating positively during activity, psychomotor tests will be given at a later date for stick handling for speed and passing accuracy, taking a written final at the end of the unit on rules and content during lessons. Equipment Required (5 pts) Cones, Hockey stick (one for each student), pucks (10 -15), goals (2) Safety Considerations (5 pts) Since this can be a high impact sport there will be no contact or miss use of the hockey stick. With That in mind below are the rules that I will be asking of the student to abide by: Rules: 1. You may not bring the stick above your knees at any time.

2. No hitting or swinging at the puck while it is in the air. 3. Nobody checking or shoving. 4. No scoring from behind the half court line. 5. When a puck is stuck in the net, only the closest student will get the puck to return to possession 6. Keep both hands on the stick at all times. 7. Always start the game with a face-off. 8. At max 6 players from your team are allowed on the floor at all times. 10. Play hard, but play to keep the opponent safe. Alternate Lesson/Plan B (e.g. Limited Students, Inclement Weather etc.) (5pts) If a sufficient amount of students are absent then we can reduce teams for all activities. If gym is needed we can either work in a smaller space or move to different gym. However, if nothing is available we will find a class or studio and work on mind and body by doing yoga. Lesson Reflection (Pros and Cons of Activities, Teaching Performance) (5 points) During this lesson I hope to find that my class is well behaved and will stay on task. If they are not I will have to speed up actives so they can be in better behavior.
