Application
Fields of application Dyeing cellulosic fabrics with vat dyes by the pad-steam or pad-jig process. Dyeing polyester/cellulosic blended fabrics with disperse and vat dyes or the corresponding combination (Cottestren dyes) or with disperse and reactive dyes by the thermosol process with subsequent development. Dyeing polyester fabrics by the thermosol process. Primasol FF-AM prevents excessive stripping of pigment dyes in the development bath during wet-in-wet dyeing. Metering rate The metering rate depends on the type of fabric and the composition of the fibres. Thus 3-5 g/I Primasol FF-AM for cotton fabrics 5-8 g/I Primasol FF-AM for fabric blends containing manmade fibres. The pH of the padding liquor should not be less than 6. Procedure Dissolve the amount of Primasol FF-AM weighed out by stirring it into 10-20 times its own volume of warm water. Dissolve or disperse the other auxiliaries and dyes separately. Pour the Primasol FF-AM solution, the dye dispersion, and the solutions of auxiliaries, the one after the other, through a fine-mesh screen or cloth into the tank and make up the padding liquor to the desired volume.
