The UNF Institute for Values, Community and Leadership presents NASA Analytical Chemist in the latest installment

of the Leadership Speakers Bureau. The IVCLs leadership Speakers Bureau will feature NASAs Dionne Jackson on March 6, 2013 in the UNF Student Union Ballroom, Building 58 West, Room 3703 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The event is free and will include light refreshments. The Leadership Speakers Bureau offers University of North Florida students face-to-face time to interact directly with leadership-centric speakers with rich experiences, incredible backgrounds, and inspirational stories by attending lectures and question and answer segments. This series of four events each year brings an expanding variety of high-profile speakers to campus; from leaders in business, government, science, culture and much more. NASA Analytical Chemist at the Kennedy Space Center, Dionne Jackson will speak on her experience and knowledge responsible for her success as a leader in her field. Ms. Jackson is the lead of the Chemical Analysis Laboratory in the Materials Science responsible for testing and identifying materials that are utilized in projects by NASA agencies, private businesses, and local schools. Her role is crucial to ensuring the safety of property and the lives of others in a vast array of environments. Dionne Jackson established her leadership qualities at an early age as a Summer High School Apprenticeship Research Program student, a WISE scholar (Women in Science and Engineering) in college while completing summer internships with NASA/KSC and later attaining her Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Currently, Jackson uses her leadership experience to mentors girls, grades two through 12 to dream big and find their own inner-leaders. Previous speakers include UNF President John Delaney, Warren St. John, author of the 2012-2013 UNF Reads book Outcasts United, Duval County Judge Angela Cox, and the TEDxWomen conference simulcast live from Washington D.C. The IVCL invites all members of the UNF community to be inspired by Dionne Jackson as she shares her knowledge and experience as a successful leader in a challenging and rewarding field. Attendees will learn the art and science of mastering a leadership style that empowers them to lead in a highly performing and productive manner. The Institute for Values, Community and Leadership at UNF facilitates the education and development of students on how to become effective, ethical and value-based leaders with a commitment to excellence, accountability, and responsibility to the real world of the workplace and civic/community engagement.
