Change is the essential process of all life forms. Inspired by the morphing nature of the waterfront, MADArt director Santino Lo built up a light of water installation with ultraviolet light and fluorescent enhanced water. Based on the installation, resident choreographer Lauren Camp creates a dance piece with 6 dancers with music performed by Americas leading modern trombone collective Guidonian Hand and composed by ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award winner Jeremy Howard Beck. To bring in visual arts components, Colombian artist Leo Castaneda will exhibit his illusionistic abstract paintings, and work with Artistic Director Santino Lo to design the moving environment. The performance on 5/25 will conclude with an after-party featuring Paris-based postmodern jazz trio The Kandinsky Effect, and the audience is encouraged to meet the artists over reception.
